"..I can save him. I can turn him back to the good side." He said taking Leia's hand in his. "I have to try." He said softer. She was confused and scared for her, just now discovered, brother. Kissing her goodbye on the cheek he turned and left. As he distanceed himself from Leia and the tribe Luke felt a presence nearby.
"You know it is considered rude to leave without saying goodbye?" Luke knew who it was even before he turned around to meet the gaze of two brown eyes.
"You know it is considered rude to follow people around?" He asked comming closer to her.
"I cannot help it. But do not stray from the question i just asked you. Why would you leave without a word?" she kept pressing.
"I just... have a feeling that noone would understand. I must do this on my own. I can feel it in my heart that it is the right way. I will not-" "Kill your father?" Sky-blue looked into earth-brown eyes questioningly.
"Oh I knew from the begining of your plan. Well I didn't know I felt the conflict in you." She answered the silent question. "I understand you must go I just wish you don't have to.." She finally looked away wondering why she felt worried all of the sudden.
"Hey I'll be fine." Luke placed his hand under her chin to make her look back into his eyes hoping she would see the confidence he has for what he is about to do.
She smiled sadly remembering the first time she looked into those eyes and saw fear and sadness in them, back on Dagobah, before he started his training and learning of The Force. And that memory stirred something inside of her. Suddenly she wasn't just worried about him. She was terrified. And exactly that feeling made her do what she did next. She kissed him.
It was a short sweet kiss on the lips that neither of them expected. Once she opened her eyes she didn't feel ashamed like she should be. She felt a strong connection with him trough The Force. And he felt it too. There were no further words required. They just knew. They just felt.
Luke looked her one final time in the eyes and then turned around to proceed with his journey ahead. She stayed behind on the wooden Ewok balcony watching him leave. Feeling his heartbeat next to her own.
