It was the Fourth of July and Patrick was surprised by a knock at his door as he was getting ready to leave for the park with Emma, Sam and Danny. He called for everyone to hurry up as he opened the door. "Sabrina?"

"Hi, Patrick," she said quietly. Sabrina noticibly swallowed and asked, "May I come in?"

"Ah, yeah," he said as he waved her inside. "We were just getting ready to leave for the park."

"Oh, right, it's the Fourth. I forgot. Time has been blending together lately."

Patrick was about to ask Sabrina what she was doing here when Emma bounded out to the living room with Danny in tow. "Sabrina!" She exclaimed excitedly as she broke her grip on Danny and ran to Sabrina, capturing her tightly around the waist.

Patrick teared up a little at their reunion. Sabrina had left town with Carlos shortly after their breakup that Christmas Eve. She hadn't said goodbye. He thought something was off with Sabrina, so he had questioned Felix at the hospital. Just as Felix was about to open up and tell him something, Robin came up behind him. He put a hand up to pause Felix so he could greet his wife, but when he returned his attention to him, Felix mumbled an excuse about cotton balls and hightailed it away. The next thing Patrick knew, Sabrina had up and quit her job and word around the station was that her forwarding address was in Puerto Rico.

Sam came out just as their reunion was coming to an end. As Sabrina greeted Sam, Patrick could tell she was confused. A lot had transpired since she left. His marriage to Robin ended after she left him and Emma to save the secretly presumed-alive Jason and he and Sam had fallen in love and moved in together. When Sam asked Sabrina what brought her back to town, Sabrina looked at him briefly and then said, "just a personal matter that I have to resolve in person."

Sensing that Sabrina wanted to talk to him privately, Patrick sent Sam and the kids ahead to the park and promised to catch up with them later. When they were gone, he turned to Sabrina and asked, "What's up?"

"Our son needs your help. His life depends on it."
