The Devoted One
Heart made of stone
You'll be cold to the bone
Eyes like steel,
Your nightmares will become real
An angel of death
Tavington is his name
He is to blame
As to why there's one less Martin brother,
Why there's one less church to worship the Virgin Mother
Why all the Dragoons are monsters
He kills on whim,
But I'll always love him
Some people think I'm insane,
And perhaps I think the same
But what he is to me,
Is my little Willy
The only one I love
I'll always love him like no other
You see, I'm his mother
It's my duty,
And it always will be
Nothing can change that
I'll always plea forgiveness for my son
Even though I'm probably the only one
To me it well never matter
Call me mad as a hatter
Call my son a murderer
I don't care, ma'am or sir
I don't care
I hope God will listen to me
And that He'll remember and see
Will wasn't always this way
That's how I can still love him today
By remembering he was once different
That he was once kind instead of belligerent
That he once could love instead of hate
But all I can do is just wait,
Wait and see if my son will join me
Up here, angelic and heavenly
But I doubt it
