The Dance

Aiden looked in the mirror, and sighed anxiously. She hadn't been looking forward to this at all the past how many weeks. The Yule ball had finally come. She dreaded it. She hated dancing, the dressing up, and the fact she was forced to go. She, not only was she one of the contestants for Tri Wizard Tournament, but Dumbledore was making her. Aiden was almost nervous, about what of she wasn't completely sure. Maybe it was the fact she had to wear a dress, which was so alien for her, or that could been that her date was Professor Snape..

He stood by the doors of the great hall. Severus had made sure he wore his best cloak for tonight. He had seen her this morning when she went into the woods for her daily run, her face held an expression he couldn't quite distinguish. He known she was nervous about coming to tonight, but he didn't know it was stressing her out this bad. It was almost time the contestants to make their grand entrance.

He looked up the stairs and saw the mud-blood Granger go to her date. He shook his head, yes she was a good student, but she was quite a know it all, then again so was Aiden when they had first met. He smiled lightly then looked at the top of the stairs and there she was..

Her black dress flowed around her, the large slit up to her mid thigh threatened to show more then it should. Red flower designs slipped down her breast and followed the slit down, turning from the bight red to a blood red before slowly fading into black at the bottom. Her raven black hair was pulled up in a bun, elegant curls and leftover strands caressed her shoulders. Severus's breathe was taken away. Even through, the strapless dress showed quite a few of her scars, she was beautiful. She may not have been Lily, but oh she was stunning.

"Harry... Look.." Ron nodded and turned his friend away from Hermione and towards his step sister.

Harry glanced annoyed at him before looking up at Aiden. He had never seen her like this, she was amazing. He smiled as their eyes locked, she immediately blushed. Then he saw Snape move to her and bow before taking her hand and kissing it tenderly. What the hell was she thinking? He growled in annoyance as the two locked arms. Everyone was told to take they places, he shook his head and took Parvati Patil arm, she gave him a dirty look as he roughly did so.

"Well dont you know how to make a woman blush?" Aiden teased as Severus walked her to the line.

"Aiden, You look absolutely beautiful!" Hermione behind her Krum, her date, nodded and smiled.

"Thanks" Aiden nodded sheepishly and replied "You gorgeous yourself."

Severus cleared his throat and looked down at Aiden, at that very moment she looked up at him. Her silver blue eyes looked like jewels.

"Shall we?" he said.

She gave him a look, which made him chuckle before leading her into the Great hall full of students and other Professors. Severus had been worried of what the Head-Master Dumbledore, would say when he told him that he was going to be Aiden's date to the Yule ball. Snape was surprised that the Head-master only smiled and gave him permission. Though Aiden wasn't officially a student, everyone thought her as one. She was a grounds keeper and protector, but she also was a student in a way.

As they walked past the rows of students, Pro. Snape couldn't help but notice the dirty looks he got from a few boys as they walked past. He suppressed an evil smile, as he saw Draco, his best student, glaring hotly at him. He known Draco was in love with Aiden, but no matter how hard he tried to impress her, she wouldn't never be wooed like all the other girls. Snape loved that about Aiden, she played hard to get. He would laugh at all the boys that would try and fail before her.

When they music began to play Aiden and Severus danced.
