He sat among the old windmill, it's strange vanes forever turning. He looked down, upon the happy children, who frolicked and giggled with glee, all of them chasing a small dog outside its leash.

He looked blankly into the air in front of him, lost in thought.

"Ah, there you are." A voice called out, snapping the boy from his thoughts. He turned to his left, spotting a familiar hair of golden hair.

"Hey Yellow." The boy said, turning his attention back to the village.

"What are you doing up here Wanderer?"

"Thinking." Wanderer said, looking back down upon the village.

"If you're thinking of jumping, would you at least do a flip midway?" Yellow said, sitting himself next to Wanderer. "What's dancing across the manic mind of yours today?" Almost on cue, Wanderer brought out a red covered book, with black characters dancing across it.

"Yin...One of my darker stories to date." He sighed, tossing the book to the side.

"You said before Yin was written by your Darkness, correct?" Wanderer sighed and nodded.

"It's a strange thing, being taken by Darkness. It's a feeling of power, of pure, uncontrolled ability to do whatever you wish with no consequences." He sighed, shaking his head. "Then the high goes away, and you're filled with nothing but remorse."

"So what are you going to do?" Yellow asked, looking at Wanderer. "Embrace the Darkness, or seal it away?"

"Embrace it, but not let it take over." Wanderer said, looking towards the sky, his eyes tracing the constellations. "I've seen this village in its worst state, in a state where not even dust stirred, where carcasses lined the streets."

"Do you really think you can control the darkness this time?" Yellow asked, slightly skeptical.

"Worst comes to worst, the darkness will try to kill everyone." Wanderer said idly. "You'll probably kill me by that point."

"True." Yellow said, ever said smugly. "So, we're expecting more darkness from you in the future?"

"And more light." Wanderer said, looking down at Toan and Xiao, happily playing with the children of the village. "It's funny..."

"Hm?"

"If you have something so dark, so tragic, it makes the light even brighter." He shrugged. "Or something like that."

"You just made Shakespeare roll in his grave Wanderer." Yellow said, shaking his head. "So, now what?"

"Simple." Wanderer said, pulling out a bucket of maple syrup from behind him, He proceeded to dump the contents down onto Toan and Xiao's head, both of which let out cries of shock. "Back to work."

Expect a lot more darker, but funnier things from me in the future. I'm coming back once again, after a minor hiatus thingy.
