Kiss of the Dragon

A/N: Hey, Facing the Storm here and this is just a little fanfict about Dragon's Bait… awesome book so I decided to make my own little story… Hope you like… Please no flames….

The dawn was quiet, light streaks of pink and orange peaked over the hills. Selendrile rose quietly and stretched his golden wings. He looked down at Alys, who was still sound asleep. He smiled. She always looked so peaceful…asleep. He shifted into his human form and walked out the door. When he was safely under the cover of trees, he transformed back and took flight. The sun warmed him pleasantly as he glided over the valley. He thought over the last six months. Alys had come to stay with him where they spent that first awkward night. Sure, he had laughed about her modesty then, for he had found it (for lack of a better adjective) cute. He scoured the countryside, searching for food. He soon came upon a flock of sheep and swooped down to breakfast.

Alys awoke a few hours after dawn and found the place empty, save herself. This was nothing new. Selendrile often vanished at dawn to go do whatever he did. 'He's probably courting some girl' She thought. He had done it before and she had grown used to it, but now she found it increasingly annoying. But no matter how into a girl he got, he never let her fall through the cracks. She figured that he only did that as a protective motive, because humans were so much more fragile then he was. When he threw that tiny annoyence in her face she would gently remind him of the little mishap in the woods when he was the one who almost died. She knew it annoyed him to have that weakness so she only bluffed about it. the only iron they had in the house was a small skillet she used for frying and a key, which opened the door. Since she didn't expect Selendrile back for another few hours she decided to take a swim.

A/N: Sorry the first chappy is so short but I didnt' have much time to write! Promise I will update on my other fanficts as soon as I get internet on my home computer. Love always,

Facing the Storm!
