Lord forgive me for I have sinned.
Lord, let me repent for my evil doings.
I was born from sin only to be further defiled.
I am a defiler. I am an antagonizer. I am a sinner.
I revel in the dark; I should be basking in the light.
Forgive my mistakes like I never could.
I sail through the night on a boat of rotting flesh and bone that parts the churning, tumultuous crimson sea like a scythe through tall stalks of wheat.
I walk among mortals whose very being is the bane of my existence.
So succulent and savory is their scent that wafts through the midnight air that hints at something so primal that civilization has long since suppressed it.
It is something pure and untainted by reality.
It is something lost between dimensions; something lost to time as well as space.
It is something poisonous and intoxicating- much like power.
Divinities as well as obscure common folk have been lost to its tantalizing ways.
Whole civilizations have been lost to its seductive and captivating ways.
It lurks in the dark, biding its time before prying on its newest and poorest victim.
It lurks in the minds of all for, you see, we all have those corners in our minds that are drenched in blood and better left hidden. It waits there, watching and listening, so that it may gradually overcome you and make you its vessel for its disastrous ways.
Madness because, my dear, we are all mad here.
