It was a glorious, golden summer's day in Venice. The five should have been happy and content. In fact they were. Apart from the odd thing or two, like a girl just recovering from a bullet wound to the head. No big deal right? A boy tortured by Nightrise. That was just as petty as your mommy not buying the chocolate chip cookies you wanted.
Matt and Scott were having yet another argument. This argument, unusually, did not entail yelling at each other or Scott introducing Matt to Madam Fist and Lefty. Yet. It was about Scar...

"You just couldn't tell Scar to duck?" Said Matt even though he knew it was unfair to Scott. During his time as a prisoner of the Chairman Matt had become quite good friends with Scar.
"Shut up you bastard!" yelled an angry Scott.
"Or what? You gonna cry to Nightrise" Matt taunted.
Scott snapped. He honestly hated Matt. How could he say that? Why was he to care about a girl he didn't even know when his twin brother was about to be killed. Without Jamie there was nothing to fight for or care about. Jamie was his only family. His brother. Matt didn't even know the feeling of seeing a gun cocked at your brother. He punched Matt in the jaw and smirked as Matt gasped and spit out blood.

Scarlett awoke from yet another trip in the dreamworld. She had visited an azure blue lake with beautiful swans and a small boat on the shore. This scene had reminded her of a date with Aidan. Oh Aidan Scarlett had thought. Tears began to trickle out of her eyes. What would happen to him? Would they ever be together again?
She had taken the boat halfway across the lake when the swans began to attack her. They pecked her until she bled and pushed the boat over. Scarlett then woke up gasping with bleeding scratches from exactly where the swans had pecked her in the dreamworld.

As Scarlett walked past the living room in the hotel lodge they were staying at she heard Matt and Scott's raised voices and pressed her ear to the door.
You just couldn't tell Scar to duck?"
"Shut up you bastard!"
"Or what? You gonna cry to Nightrise"
That was a bit cruel of Matt to say that. Scar didn't blame Scott for pushing Jamie out of the way and allowing her to be shot. If it was Aidan about to be shot she would have done the same thing.
Scarlett then backed away from the door as Scott stormed out. "Scott" she called.
"What" he growled.
"I don't blame you for what you did" Scarlett said.
Scott smiled which was a very rare thing to happen and nodded appreciatively which was all Scarlett needed to see. He then walked away, all resent gone.
