The gang were gathered in Monica and Chandler's apartment, and the conversation had somewhat come to a halt.
"Oooh! Oooh!" Rachel bounced up and down excitedly. "I know what we can do! Mon, we can watch your wedding video!"
Monica and Phoebe squealed, and the boys rolled their eyes, but none the less they all settled down around the television. Phoebe sat at Joey's feet, who was on the couch with Ross and Rachel. Chandler sat in his barca lounger, pulling Monica into his lap and wrapping his arms around her waist.
By the time the ceremony ended, all three girls were sobbing happily. They'd never admit it, but the boys shed a tear too. The montage of the reception had them entertained as they watched Chandler attempt to dance in his slippery shoes.
"Ohhh. That was just beautiful!" Phoebe cried.
"I know!" Monica replied.
"And the music at the reception was perfect. Aren't you glad you chose The Swing Kings over that dress?"
Monica's eyes widened, and she shook her head in panic.
"What is she talking about Mon?" Chandler asked as he shifted her in his lap.
"Phoebes! We were doing so well!"
"Mon…" Chandler questioned.
"It's not important," she murmured in reply.
"Monica," Rachel interrupted. "Why don't you want to tell him? It's a good story, what you did is so sweet!"
"Oh-kay."
She turned to Chandler.
"Do you remember that day you came home and I was wearing that wedding dress I had to take back? Well, it wasn't because it didn't fit. It fit perfectly, and it was everything I had been looking for in a dress. But…there was this girl who we met in the expensive dress store and we talked about our weddings. In the cheap dress store we wanted the same dress, so I kind of pinned her down and tore it from her arms. To get revenge, she booked The Swing Kings on the day of our wedding. She told me I had to pick, which is when you came in and starting talking about 'dancing all your dances'…"
"I always wondered what that 'oh crap' was about," Chandler interrupted. "I was a little worried."
"So that was when I realised how much The Swing Kings meant to you. And, well, you mean so much to me. So I called the stupid bitch and gave her the dress. But, you know, not before you ripped it off me."
"Wow."
Chandler glanced at his friends.
"Can you guys give us a minute?"
Rachel, Ross, Joey and Phoebe stood up, but moved only as far as the kitchen.
Chandler stood up, and pulled his wife close to him.
"I cannot believe you did this for me. You are so incredible and I am just so lucky to have you."
Monica wrapped her arms around his neck.
"No, I'm the lucky one. You mean everything to me."
"I'm sorry that because of me you didn't get to have the perfect dress to complete your dream wedding."
"But it was my dream wedding Chandler! It was perfect, because I married you."
The sentence had barely escaped her lips when she was silenced by Chandler's mouth against hers.
"Awwww!" Cooed Rachel and Pheobe, earning them death stares from the happy couple.
Monica turned so she was leaning against Chandler, and he wrapped his arms firmly around his wife's tiny waist. He brought his lips down to Monica's ears, and began to whisper.
"For everything you did, I think you have a few nights worth of favours coming your way."
Monica blushed, and titled her head back until she could see her husband's face.
"Perfect."
