Harry Potter stood amazed
all of his very senses dazed.
The life of magic he adored,
with other stuff he felt so bored.
But with magic his faith soared,
how great to be a grand wizard.
The spells and such they seemed so cool,
they seemed like such a wond'rous tool.
But here was something greater still,
than all his woundrous magic skill
or all he could ever attain
e'en with all knowledge in his brain.
For all those powers could not fight
a God of Love and Peace and Light.
And that God saw and knew his cares
and longed to answer Harry's prayers.
Harry's spells and potions grand
could not compete with Love's strong hand.
Nor did he want them to for they
did not give peace like when he prayed.
Then Harry Potter learned of Love
that came down from Heaven above.
"This does more than any spell can,"
he said of God becoming man.
"And then He died and rose again,
He feels my joys, my hurts, my pain?
This is a force that I must know,"
said Harry Potter, heart aglow.
He then learned nothing needed done,
except by faith believe God's Son
Jesus Christ had died for him
and then He had risen again.
Harry Potter said "no spell
nor potion nor magic done well
can make me that which I can be
if I let Christ come live in me."
Harry prayed "I've sinned indeed,
I've thought bad thoughts, and done bad deeds,
so Heaven I cannot achieve
where the wonders none can conceive.
" Tis far greater than spells I've tried
that Jesus suffered, bled, and died,
That He did all that for my sin,
and that He rose, and lives again.
"I Harry Potter, trust Christ well,
I turn from all my magic spells.
And trust you as my Savior now,
my Jesus, to whom I shall vow
"to live for you eternally.
Give me new life so rich an free.
My Savior, Jesus, I will praise,
all of my life, all of my days."
So Harry Potter charmed no more,
To do God's work it was no chore.
He loved it more than anything
more joy than magic did it bring.
For he and Jesus were fast friends,
His peace with God would never end.
He tells folks that they can enjoy
that same great love, and peace and joy.
And you can do like Harry there
just pray that very simple prayer,
trust Christ to save you with your heart,
and from Him you'll never depart.
Christ will be with you all your days,
His love and power can guide your ways,
for all who call upon His name
they shall be saved, Christ took their blame.
Forces of magic shall descend
to pain and torment without end;
if you'll trust Christ, from sin to save
to you He'll give that love you crave.

No, Harry doesn't trust Christ in the next book yet - but he would find, if someone took the
time to share, what I've
found and shared through verse. My prayer is that you who read him wil trust Christ in the same
way. He is so much
mightier and more loving than magic forces. And, please print this in its entirety and share with
other Harry Potter fans,
how much greater and more loving Christ is. A license to use this poem - even though you didn't
write it. Awesome,
huh? Of course, I feel from my heart it's really the Lord's.
