Disclaimer: I don't own 13 Reasons Why, Hannah or Clay.

Note: This takes place at the time of the party

It was all so incredibly perfect.

Them, kissing, the party far off and distant. The only thing that either could seem to grasp was the other. Both teens were blissfully unaware of the world around them and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Because, you know what? Nothing else in world mattered right now.

Not even time.

All that mattered was this moment, this moment that neither ever wanted to stop.

But everything good must come to an end, that's just how the saying goes…

She pushed him away with a muffled, "Stop,"

He stopped because as much as he enjoyed it, it was about what she wanted to him.

When she told him to leave, her was voice flat and final, the words were clipped and curt, she left no room for him to disagree.

"Go away,"

He didn't make any move to go, he was too shocked by her request to do anything other than stare at her form. Why would she want him to leave? Had he done something wrong? Had he hurt her? Questions clogged his mind, preventing him from answering.

She had rolled over and pressed her face into the pillows that littered the bed and for that reason her next word was muffled but Clay could still make it out.

She had added, "Please,"

But he still didn't move, so she turned to him, sitting up and staring at him with eyes that gleamed with tears that he could see even though the room was so poorly lit.

He just stared down at her reddening face and gently wiped away a tear that had managed to escape from the corner of her eye.

"Go. Away."

The finality left her voice, now it held more of a pleading undertone.

She was begging him to leave her.

She wasn't demanding he leave, she was begging him to get up and walk out of the room.

The sound of her breaking voice made Clay's heart twist uncomfortably. She sounded like she was in pain. Was he the cause? Was that why she was so desperate for him to leave?

Maybe he really should just go…

He began to debate with himself then. Should he leave her like she wants him to? Or should he stay and keep trying to help her even if she doesn't want the help he has to offer?

Looking down at her eyes which still shimmered with unshed tears he made his decision.

He stood from the bed, making the mattress lift from his removed weight…

And walked over to the side of the bed so he was kneeling right in front of Hannah's shivering form…

And he pulled her into the warmth and safety of his arms, just like that.

"I'm sorry, but I can't just leave you here,"

"I don't want to hurt you, Clay...you're too nice to me...for me..."

He held her a little bit tighter, "You're the one that's too good for me, Hannah,"

She tensed a bit, her hands on his shoulders gripped him harder, "Clay, I'm broken. Don't you get it? I'm too far gone..."

He pulled back just enough so she could see his face, "Well, then let me fix you,"

And with that her body shuddered in his arms, she pressed her face to his shoulder as her breathing became uneven but somehow she managed to let out a final quivering gasp of a word before she burst into unrelenting tears.

"Okay,"

First of all, thank-you for taking the time to read this~!

Okay, so~ whatya think?

It's been a while since I've written something 13 Reasons Why related so I had a bit of trouble writing this heh~

I had started a 13 Reasons Why fanfiction forever and a day ago and haven't updated in years. So I wrote this as a kind of apology because I probably will never get back to that story or if I do it'll be a while...(because I'll have to re-write it)

Anyway, I'm not particularly proud of this shot and I apologize for the poor job I did on it. *bows*

Please review though, whether you liked it or not...please review :)
