The Life I Have Forsaken

I miss it so

My lost life

My beautiful children

My loving wife

I was a man once

A long time ago

Then I spilled that fool's blood

His corpse lies in the snow

My home is gone

My friends are all dead

They wanted to help me

And I cut off their heads

I was visited by a man

He made me an offer

To give me a home

And gold for my coffer

I joined them

That evil guild

They praised and paid me

For everyone I killed

I knew it was wrong

I knew it was bad

That I had taken this

To replace what I'd had

Now I mourn what I lost

My family and friends

I see what I've become

Here at the end

I regret every life

That I've ever taken

I regret the life

That I have forsaken

A/N: There. Second poem. I know, it's not as good as the first. I admit, I wrote this one only after people started giving positive reviews to the other one. I've been thinking of writing a full story about the DB, even though there are too many. Who thinks I should?
