So, I have about six fics from May that I never published. This is one of them. I don't own NCIS. Enjoy!

The puppy ran around the apartment, chasing its tail while Ziva tried to chase it.

"Get...back...over...here!" she exclaimed, stopping in the middle of the living room. She watched as the little puppy bounded through the kitchen and then back into the living room.

The chocolate lab stopped in front of Ziva, wagging its tail, holding a toy in its mouth. "You...are a little demon," she said, snatching the toy from the dog and setting it on the top of her entertainment center.

Then, scooping the puppy in her arms, trying not to get mud on herself, Ziva headed off towards the bathroom. "You, little one, are a terror. And you need a bath," she said to herself, scratching the puppy behind its ears.

As she was running the water for a bath for the puppy, the front door opened and shut. "Ziva! I brought the movies and I brought the Chinese," Tony called.

"I'm in the bathroom, Tony!" she called back, trying to scrub the mud off the puppy's paws.

DiNozzo walked down the hallway and into the bathroom, staring down at Ziva curiously. "Whose animal is that?" he asked.

Taking a moment to stop washing the dog, Ziva glanced up at Tony. "It is my neighbor's puppy. They went away for the night, but they did not want to leave it alone," she explained.

"So you offered to give it a bath?" he asked, bending down next to Ziva and helping her wash the hyper puppy.

"No, Tony. I offered to watch the puppy, but that was a mistake. I forgot that you were coming over."

"Ziva David, dog sitting?" he joked with a laugh. She shot him a glanced and the senior field agent seriously added, "It's fine. Dinner and the movie can wait. This is much more fun." He got up and then reached for a towel, handing it to her.

Ziva took the towel and wrapped the chocolate lab in it and held the puppy in her arms. "Thank you, Tony. Maybe now she will be calm so we can enjoy our dinner and movie," she said.

Tony chuckled as they walked back into the living room. Once the puppy spotted its toy, she began to squirm in Ziva's arms.

"I don't think this puppy will calm down, Ziva," he said, reaching for the toy and giving it to the animal.

The puppy jumped out of Ziva's arms and ran around the apartment with the toy in its mouth.

Ziva groaned, but Tony wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her over to the dining room table where the Chinese and movies were waiting. "Don't worry, Ziva. The dog will be fine unattended for two hours. Let's eat and watch this movie," he said, kissing the top of her head gently.

Ziva smiled and reached for the food, noticing the puppy laying there eating the chew toy out of the corner of her eye. The puppy was adorable, she had to admit it.
