America had always been a country of dreams that seemed to reach for the stars now he aims for the stars himself. When people had questioned him about another one of his crazy ideas he just laughed saying "I'm the hero so when I say something I mean it and I will beat that commie too." Most took his predictions with a grain of salt as he had been known to predict bold things in the past thinking that America had corrupted its leaders into thinking of the impossible. The countries could practically hear his laughter at the shaking as he rocketed out of orbit, at least that would have some relative si… "Doitsu! Doitsu! America is landing on the moon." "Quiet Italy I can see the television myself so shut up!" The nations had all called an emergency meeting to watch the landing. "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Cheers could be heard as the figure touched down on the moon.
America loved dreams, he loved reaching for them, and also that satisfying feeling when he finally accomplished his dreams. His nation was built on dreams, but space and flying had always interested him. Flying had been invented in America by two brothers after all. But standing on the moon, thinking back to when he had first wanted to go to space. When he was a small colony under Iggy's control he had first asked about the stars and moon and had declared he would be there and be there first. Iggy had laughed saying that he would be. Now staring the last few steps that would kept him from his goal several small steps yet one great leap should he try it in one go, Neil was right about that part of his little speech. As the hero stepped down onto the surface of the moon taking a look around and looking forward he wondered where his dreams would take him next. But his accomplishments and memories would always stay with him as he looked around at awe at his great blue world. He wondered who would next push his nation to new heights. Maybe it would be a group, but he would always keep dreaming for dreams shaped the world, after all he had proven it from a small settlement in a hostile land to a colony revolting to the super power seen today. He liked the color red maybe Mars would be next in the list of accomplishments, or maybe inventing an automatic Chihuahua catcher, stupid rat dogs. But one thing is for sure he had finally walked among the stars that he had promised he would so long ago.
AN: One shot about America and Apollo 11 which was the first to land on the moon. The American dream is why I said America loves dreams.
