Robin sat alone on the roof. The view was spectacular. Jump City looked glamorous in is vibrant night life. Such beauty… so why did he feel so sad, so lost?

Perhaps it was his parent's death anniversary. Every time he closed his eyes, he would see them falling, falling… dead. A decade had passed. He got over it, mostly. But Boy Wonder just felt sad because no one cared apart from him. No one even knew.

"A penny for your thoughts."

Robin turned around and saw a familiar cloaked figure standing behind him. He remarked, "Sorry, but my thoughts are worth more than a penny."

Raven chuckled softly. "What would you charge for them, then?" she asked gamely.

Robin thought for a while. He felt better now that there was someone to talk to. He could play along. "Hmm, how about a kiss from the gothic girl?" he tried.

Raven laughed. "That's a little expensive, don't you think? Come on, the suspense is killing me."

Robin face turned grave. "Today marks the first decade my parents died. A decade passed… it seems like it was just yesterday. It's so… fast."

Raven looked sadly at him. "I'm sorry. They must have loved you."

"They did. Very much, in fact."

"Well, at least they loved you. My parents…"

Robin looked at her. He was sad when his parents died. But at least he had happy memories to take with him. Raven only had the fear of the day her father would come and destroy her.

She smiled. "Cheer up. I'm sad your patents died. I can share your sad memories. I can be sad with you. But you can tell me the happy memories you had. Then we'd both be happy."

Robin looked at her. No one ever said anything like that before. He grinned. "When I was younger, my mother used to…"

Half an hour passed. The two of them just sat there, talking. Finally, Robin was finished. And he felt a whole lot better. Raven smiled. "See, its better, isn't it?"

Robin nodded. All of sudden, Raven wrapped her arms around him and drew him into a deep, hot kiss. Robin stared at her, startled.

"Payment." She said as she walked off.

Robin stared at her as she left. "Can I collect the interest tonight?" he called.

Raven pondered for a moment. "Sure." she said as she walked down. "Come over to my room if you want to." she added slyly.

Robin smiled. This might be a start of something wonderful.

"Thanks dad, thanks mum." he whispered as he went down to get ready.
