The Beasts Within
The Cracked Soul Guardian
"These lands belong to greater creatures than ye. Remove thee self or ye shall be put to death before the great one." Trailing voices whisper their tone so faint that you would almost swear the words were never spoken, perhaps a trick of one's mind. The same faint voices then continue to repeatedly restate the same words over and over again but growing slightly louder with each bitter moment. However half of those beings trespassing on these sacred grounds have no choice but to continue to run… for there are demonic forces hunting them down like cattle. These mortals know that if they stop running they will be massacred without a second though by these twisted beings of the under layer of this planet. It is on a bitter winter night chilling flesh protected by layers of thick and heavy fur clothing, proving that nature is not for either side and sees all creatures mortal or not as equal in its wake of furry. Already set with an already absurd and thickly packed blanket of snow-caked earth below. So much snow that the lower layers have frozen over causing a hazardous and dangerous trap for all foolish enough to be traveling in this forsaken night. As if that is not enough a thicker effect of densely falling snow is also falling the harsh winds of the north making it even harder to see within an inch in front of the travelers. This brutal and savage land providing a near definite blinding cloak of white to both those running and to those chasing within these tree thick lands. The harsh winds of the goddess of snow and winter swiftly sapping all the energy reserves out of all of those foolish enough to be out and about in this frigid winter's night, The air so cold that even the smallest particles that float in the atmosphere had frozen creating a stardust effect along with the falling snow. The phenomenon known by only one name… Diamond Dust; A truly breath stealing sight even in the fear of death and the thrill of the hunt. Beautifully so but at the same time it is so very cruel in the harshest and most unforgiving of all of nature's natural occurring phenomena. The small batch of humans running from their pursuers forced to drain what little energy they have in order to prevent themselves from being slain by the dark forces. Those dark forces of one of the many demon armies that are attempting to take over the world that they; as in the humans, live upon.
"Ye are making the master very displeased…" The voices whisper again but it isn't the humans fleeing that hear these voices. No the ones who are trespassing are these demon-kin. Something that should never had set foot upon its holy grounds. These creatures have been warned many a times to never set their filthy feet upon this land and yet they so boldly do so. 'Higha messa do mii zest.' The leader hisses at the strange voices. "The master will destroy thee and ye's king." Instead of many voices only one speaks this time. This causing all the demons to go on edge the moment that single voice speaks, in the Land of Ra'vaior voices like these are common and often many speak. Be it a warning to those who should not be here or to tell stories of many great battles between the gods and their fallen kin. It is said these lands are the oldest of all others and the most violent. Even now rumors circulate that Ra'vaior himself is still living among man, flash in each demon's mind making each demon tense even more. That is impossible the gods have all left this world have they not? The leader pushing his army on they have humans to slay to take over this world. "He is always watching…always protecting." After those chilling words the whispering voices all stop talking in a native tongue that any lowly creature can understand. Those voices getting louder with every mile they gain, the whispers almost a singing chant and only getting louder and louder till everything is dead silent.
The once harsh roar of the winter's night wind and the thick blanket of snow vanish from the area. Not a single trace of the winter storm to be found in this seemingly calm area perhaps the eye of the storm. The layer of snow here much thinner and near pristine condition, nature itself afraid to defile this area, no sign of snow falling recently and has stopped falling in this area completely. Glancing behind the demons can see the storm still raging on behind them but the sound and everything about the storm stops right at the line of the trees, this large open area calm and untouched. Turning their heads back to the open area it is then they notice a large floating structure greeting the demons, the diamond dust shimmering in the vast moonlight of sliver rays of the moon that illuminate the calm night sky of this zone. It was as if the snow storm had never hit the sky clear and littered with many stars. Finely etched black marble stairs leading up to the floating castle in the sky, seeing the shadows of the humans up at least half the heavenly stairway the demon caption roars out his orders and the pursuit continues anew. Nearing the top and after thousands of stairs the demons can see a clear swirling vortex below a pale blue aura making a random pattern now and again. The softly pulsing pattern nearly impossible to see completed that same pattern of ancient origin long before even the rise of demon-breeds. The god of these lands proving a point that not only is he very powerful to have survived the brutal Lost-Age chaos. He also has far more power than many of the demi-gods or lower ranked gods they had encountered before. After many more stairs the demon's finally make it to the top of this castle in the sky. Each is stunned by what they are greeted by.
Old and nearly ancient stone rare even today makes up the floor of this floating and perfectly smooth floor. This same flawless floor a perfect copy in both texture and color of the night sky above, a strange and deep red pattern of some kind of old world rune covers the entire length of the floating floor either etched in or painted atop one wouldn't be able to tell. Located on the far side from the stairs back-center an enormous waterfall of silver thunders downward, the roar of the falling liquid near deafening. Right in front of that very same silver waterfall is a richly colored throne, pure and well craved gold the pattern seeming to mimic the flowing silver liquid behind. A deep and almost blizzard blue colored royal crest is embroidered in the rich wine-red velvet the cushion thick and supple showing little use from the master. The oddly colored crest looking much like a sleeping wolf and chosen form of the goddess of the sun, a one-hundred percent pure and monstrous sized Sapphire is cut into the image of a large and great bird of prey. Wings of the sapphire carving seeming to spread fully to almost cradle the throne, on either side of the throne sit two stone carved beasts. The stone-beasts large even when compared to the odd throne, all craved in the same imaged stone-beast. A large head full of an almost lion-like mane sharp pointed ears almost seeming like horns sit to the far edge of the beasts head. Large whiskers cover the upper jowls a braided beard on the lower jawline. The face compact but full of thick muscle tone, strong and powerful however the beasts all have the imperfect under-bite instead of perfect alignment of the mouth. Revealing sharp teeth meant to grip and hold prey in place. A huge and thickly muscled body short and stocky making for an impossible and immoveable creature turfs of hair seeming to flare up to the elbows of the forepaws from the ankles. The chest wide and large compared to the rear that is of lithe build but rear legs bulked to hold the full weight of the beast with little effort. Long cat-like claws adorn each toe of the beast but with no tail. If the beast was to stand of all four paws the front legs would stand further apart to support such a massive chest while the rear legs stood much closer to counter balance the heavy weight of its front half. Thick eyes sit upon a frowning face each seeming to be in deep thought as if reading the depths of one's soul. Five steps lead up to the throne on the final step sit another set of those stone beasts the same breed as the two beside the throne. Each beast in a different color, four colors in total… jade green with gold, Sapphire blue with ruby red, Amethyst with Peridot, while the last is Garnet with amber.
Large stone pillars stand upon each corner in the same deep and rich tone as the floor but without the rune-pattern. Detailed serpent-dragons wrap around the whole pillar the heads each facing the other head in the opposite corner of it. Strange small orbs of many colors float in the center of the room moving in many different circle patterns but never coming into contact with another small orb. Many other stone-like platforms surround the entire area, each platform with either of a stone beast, a sliver waterfall, or a large gemstone craving resting upon it. The god of this castle in the sky is very powerful compared to many of the other gods the demons had defeated, not one had something quiet as grand as this one. Before they can even fathom the thought to retreat the stairs behind them dissipate forcing all on this platform to stay. Something isn't letting them leave so if they are to die they will be taking the humans with them.
"Mire ist harke!" The leader barks and the army of demons then moves in for the kill of the trapped humans, or at least they try… a deep growl echoes in the surrounding area each of the dragon heads mouths snap open and spit a thick and constant wall of deep blue flames making it impossible to pass. The flames far too hot for any creature to pass that is not related to the owner of these flames. The demons hear even more strange growls and turn to see the stone beasts had moved from the throne and are now blocking the exit. Each seeming to be wearing a disapproving scowl, a blinding white light suddenly blinds all and teleporting the humans to one of the many floating extras way out of reach of the demons. The god is on its way that much the demons know, the flames slowly dissipate a single figure standing in the center where the many floating orbs once were. A long white cloak covering the form of the god along with a long and thick hood to keep most of the owner's face hidden from sight. The same hidden figure lifting their left hand up to have their pointer finger targeting the demons in front of it, the finger has a one of a kind ring with a unique design clinging to an elegant finger long and slender. A damn near shadow-black nail sharpened like that of a bird talon or cat claw directed at the leader of the demon pack.
"Terra mesa das, vera." The owner clearly sounding pissed at the trespassers of demon origin. "Metiga zoul mezt draga, to'voul est zu." The same odd language again chosen by this being in white, only one tongue that being speaks in, no that only the divine speak in. Though this version seems far more ancient than even the other gods for not one word is recognized unlike the more modern version. Each of the demons spar a glance to their leader, only to see that same leader just as confused by the words used by the figure clad in white… after the drawn out silence the figure in white snorts jerking his head to the right quickly before returning his hidden gaze back to the demons. "Et taga zest hiz zin, darako." This time the words are in a slow drawl the anger of this god seeming to morph into something entirely new within a fraction of a second. Though the demon leader does not understand the words he knows the body language of any creature is about the same, the being is making a fool of his army and him, taunting them… no the being is making fun of them! The leader snarling in his bestial nature, the reaction is a deep and chilling chuckle the kind of chuckle that you don't know if you should be turned on or fearful of. Full pearl-white teeth glitter elongated canines matching more of a feline creature than human, sharp shark like teeth instead take place of the normal flat-grinding incisors. Plush and petal-pink lips split in a knowing and completely insane grin. "Higha noul gitat, darako." The hand that was once pointed at the demons instead turns around, not long after the man is flipping the demons the bird.
"Meka ist hitaga! Mest zeka dioe, ist gradous!" The demon all but roars out that being the final straw in the demon's hat. Another chilling chuckle escapes the already spread lips if possible the grin seeming to become larger. The demon soldiers look at their leader in shock before righting themselves and roaring in agreement. All weapons are turned onto the god of this castle, though the god doesn't seem at all phased by the number that is against him. That same being then lowers his hand back to his side, instead taunting the demon army to bring it with a simple head gesture. That being all the army needs they charge head first into the belly of the beast. The thing is the demons have no idea just what kind of beast awaits them and that it cannot be slain by such a pitiful number of targets, let alone such low level 'nether'. Though the being seems inclined to play with his victims before destroying them and their hope before the blink of an eye. "Vertrago, et morga!"
A deadly dance of blades only inches from biting into the cloaked figures form, even the material this individual is wearing is never once cut into by the blades of the many demons who are swinging a never ending stream of attacks. The figure twisting in ways that should not be possible, that being as flexible as a serpent and as agile as one too, even daring to stop blades with nothing more than the palm of his hands, deflecting blows and causing the demon who got parried to stagger while in combat, the figure however makes no effort to attack the staggered targets. As the demons surround the figure he suddenly vanishes only to reappear a few feet away from the confused cluster of demons. The figure only laughing at the demons before bending forward and clapping in a come here sort of way that one would do to a pet dog, instead of all charging only a few go in baited by the taunt. The first demon who makes it to the figure in a stabbing motion startled when that being does a simple side step and pushing the demon down, the second demon in a downward arc missing by an inch a single foot disarming the demon and sending the weapon across the room while the demon falls face first to the stone floor. The third demon swinging in a horizontal strike again completely missing their target but this time when the blade is leveled up the being clad in white is standing a-top the blade. The comical shocked expression on the demons face wiped clean when he is kicked in the face sending him flying backwards while the being in white lands on a single foot with all the grace gifted to his kind. His other leg still suspended in air looking almost like a bird.
The next wave on the attack is instead met with counter strikes with each miss, that either knocks them down or disarms them. Clearly the being is toying with them like a cat does when its prey has no chance of escape. The leader biding his time a-waiting for the god to not be expecting his strike from behind since he seems so intent on the soldiers. It seems like forever but the split second the demon leader sees his window of opportunity he takes it with no hesitation, at first the demon leader thinks he has landed a blow the tearing of fabric echoing in the entire area. Fibers floating in the air where the being once was only to reappear sending the leader flying into the bare section of the pillar in the far left corner, that same demon spitting up blood from the impact a few ribs broken while others are cracked or bruised. Soon the rest of the soldiers join their leader in the same area. This time when each demon is able to focus they see the figure in white kneeling down their head out of sight. The right hand reaching up to tear off what remains of the hood that was once covering the gods head. Tossing the fabric into the air much to the demons dismay there is no trace of red or blood on the fabric, he had missed even at that close call. Slowly the figure stands, back hunched while rising up keeping their uncovered head out of sight. "Essaea yat'gai darako…." The voice is deadly… the words however are not hissed and hold no real nameable emotion to them but the way those words come out chill the soul within. That figure straightening their back revealing a head of vibrant Aqua-Green colored hair. The hair of the back of the head wild and untamable seeming to feather out in a wild wispy style, that same hair shoulder length a strange beaded hair attachment on the left holding a patch of hair but the tip revealing the untamable hair. A rather complex and oriental designed crown adorns the head, a white gold color with an assortment of blue and blue-green gems embedded into much of the crown. Oriental birds just in front of nearly human-like ears the only difference is that the top is pointed like an elf verses rounded like a human but not nearly as long as an elf ear. The bird attachments are in a near black color with amber gemstone eyes and golden feet and beaks. Simple looking crimson hoops adorn the bottom of both earlobes, while a complex looking dragon holds onto the top and midsection of the right ear black in color as well with striking liquid silver eyes. The right ear instead has a lengthy dangling earring several white feathers attached to the blood red metal.
Slowly the god turns his head to the demons located behind him, revealing a strong and powerful jawline. A true man in all aspects of the word not at all womanly featured in anyway other than the baby smooth skin texture. Nicely plush lips fitting the full facial structure very well, a well groomed and thinned eyebrow in an almost reprimanding pose the same rich and vibrant color as the man's hair, the hair making up the man's bangs is much shorter but still just as untamed as the back, the oriental designed crown coving much of the man's forehead. Long and thicker than normal eyelashes in a dark-midnight blue color hold no light to the single eye that is glancing at the demons. The right eye… the most exotic looking of anything the demons have ever encountered before, Molten White-sliver iris resting upon a sea of true black sclera, the pupil matching that of a bird of prey, an oval shape slowly turning into a sharp point at the bottom. A robust neck with a well displayed Adam's apple in just the right angle showing the start of some sort of necklace and choker that adorn that same neck. "E'zesta korr deagium." With those words the man slowly turns around leaving the rest of the white cloak on just leaving his face in plain view, however the thing you wouldn't have noticed before is that the man's eyes are not of the same color, bi colored eyes. The left eye iris is an inferno orange-red color resting upon a sea of pearl white sclera, the pupil the same pattern as the right. As well as the tri-eyebrow piercing on the left eye brow a black metal color.
The demon leader spitting the blood to the right, clearing his mouth while wiping away the blood on his chin with the back of his armor. This God is scaring the demon out never before has a god remained so calm and collected as this one… all others he had encountered before were like children. Easy to enrage and when they are enraged they become far easier to fight with but this god, he doesn't hold the same anything as those gods. He is even giving him and his army time to get their bearings back, is this truly the one and only Ra'vaior? "Dank est Ra'vaior?" The leader speaks glancing at the man who seeming to angle his head slightly to the left. A deep and rumbling chuckle escaping the man's lips eyes closed in amusement.
"Met'gai zoue rek, Ra'vaior… gerata." The words seem to roll off the god's lips effortlessly, the god eyeing the demons evenly as moments pass by before an answer is offered. "Ezst." Is the only other word they hear from the god as he folds his arms over his chest hidden underneath his cloak.
The demon leader only laughs out a humorless cackle, "Setia mar'kik mine ko'rle… yesta a." Knowing full well that his king and leader had sentenced him and his loyal army to death, why else would he sent them on a mission which they had no chance to win otherwise. The other demons all stare at their leader in shock that their king would do such a thing to them, was it because they proved to powerful and the king now sees them as a threat to his power? Or was it to prove the rumors wrong or right about Ra'vaior still among them. It doesn't matter now all they know is that this is the end of the line for them. "Greta Ra'vaior… toga est." One final charge, the army's final heroic moment and with honor they shall die.
A drawn out sigh leaves Ra'vaior's lips at those words, "Rera koul." As the demon's charge their rallying cry destroying the silence, Ra'vaior attacks though nothing in the area has an eye fast enough to see the event unfold. One moment the rally cry is at full volume the next it nothing but dead silence, no pained cries, no death screams… absolutely nothing but the eerier and sudden silence. On the floating land mass ash slowly slips into the air a golden-blue color. The way a demon dies is a beautiful sight to behold their bodies turn to an ashen pile before being pulling into the sky and giving off a soft glowing dance. The humans are teleported back to the platform. The cowering beings causing the man to sigh before switching tongues to that which man can understand. "Fear for me not mortals, I've no reason to harm thee. Though by knowing that I am among this world I must detest… ye cannot return to your human town. I cannot allow stories to be told of my true return and I cannot allow witnesses among the land. So here is my question to ye? Will ye come and live with me in my true castle in the sky and become keepers of the giant prison, or must I also slay ye too and be on my way?"
~~This is only the beginning, a time before guardians~~
"A thick and chilly blanket of white covers the soil below the spring and summer grasses all buried under layers upon layers of softly frozen water, a white powder that is quick to melt upon the warmth of human skin, and animal fur. Returning to its liquid form and accenting the unpleasantly bitter cold air of this high mountain village. Nothing dares to venture out into the vast white and glimmering hills of false calmness. This village outskirts buried under over seven feet of snow if not more… even as the sun's beams provide a warm glow it does not warm the air below. Nothing stirs on the dirt pathways of the small village of twenty not one critter dares to leave the safety and warmth of the reinforced homes heated by summoned flames. The windows all covered of each home, not one creature see's the beast the soars above, the massive beast blocks out the sun but not its golden rays of light. If a creature was out it would see an almost ethereal shadow passing overhead some kind of sigh of an event soon to follow. Just as quickly as this figure had appeared then vanishes into a mist, grey clouds from the north rolling in a pending storm on its way.
An ominous air thick with the tall tale signs of death and destruction soon to find its way to this tiny village. Another Demon army on the way and unlike the others before they are stronger demons and have made it through this bitter and unforgiving landscape the humans had chosen to live in. By midday the skies a black another storm of ice and snow falls, a thick and heavy scent fills the air. Days old blood of villagers slain and animals alike that had not gotten out in time, sulfur and burnt wood from dead flames. The people did not stand a chance and yet another village of man-kind has fallen to these demons… or so that is what appears to be the way of things to be. Not far from the village another massacre but of that same demon army is strewn about, pieces of bodies all over of demons their dead bodies also rotting the air. The ground is littered in bodies torn in two or three; something had slain this army within seconds after slaughtering the tiny village of man. At first you would not notice the large claw marks in the snow until you looked closer. Something from the air above had ended up dive bombing the demons and using cross-section attack paths using its talons to slice apart those below. Soundless killer massive in size… soon a soft bird cry echoes the valley below. In front of the dead army stands a bird unseen at first because of its natural pale color. Feather's whiter than snow almost holy and sacred in hue, feet and nails the same hue even the beak that is long and sharply pointed to tear flesh from bone. Only a set of eyes stands out as this beast spreads its massive wings outward. A strange shimmering crystal blue accents the pale creature as the sun's ray's peak out of the clouds of black-grey. Bi-colored eyes glimmer in silent rage of the demons before it. The right eye a molten white-silver color resting upon a sea of black, while the left eye is an inferno orange-red resting upon a sea of white. Both eyes glittering in untold rage, puffs of air can be seen coming from the nose in time with this creatures breathing. Wings fully expanded the large bird of prey beak opens another ear shattering call leaves its lungs. A blue tongue and pale blue gums meet the world one final time before the large wings flap with enough force to cause the beast to become air-born in a single bound. A brutal windstorm and snowy powder in its wake, and like that all traces of this mighty bird are gone just like a myth in time and space. Whisper in the distance chilling the area threw-out:"

~~Author's Note~~
Well this is actually a different version for what I was working on, I chose to destroy the other version cause there was just too much going on, really I only want to give you a tiny look into the past and in the next one we will find out how the guardian's come into play and how 'greater human's' will be born. Meaning beings like my O.C. Ichigo I wanted to mess with something different I usually don't do actual gods like this one. I mean yes I have others where the god is either asleep and plays a tiny role or a god who started off as a human, but not a natural born who plays a key role in a story plot.
The little piece at the end becomes what humans tell their kids. Remember this event takes place way back in the past like at least a few thousand years or more, the next event will be closer to our story line but still giving a look as to how these guardians come to become that which they are. Confused ya yet? I have a strange concept for this true version it will take a few chapters to understand. I also wanted to start this story way back in the past for a reason I want you to get to know this world, these people, these characters, and even see the split off of the twins and the unique event-line they will take. The shared sequel is what made me pick this way of starting off the stories; yes Ra'vaior is a major part of the sequel on (Bleach's) Ichigo's world.
I am also sorry this is kinda blah compared to the Beta test run. I am only just coming back to typing after I had three family deaths, two family members in the hospital at the same time one for a heart attack the other for something much less major (Thank the stars), and then my dad went to the hospital right after. I didn't have a Christmas this year because of it, Really I got the best gift which was that my dad was okay and alive… can't ask for anything else. So understand I'm struggling to motivate myself to type anything not just this story but all of them in general.
All I really have to say for the time being. Thanks for taking the time to read my story I do hope it was an enjoyable experience. *Bows*

I can't really translate the words one by one because both depend on how the word is said, it will change the meaning of that word completely, and this isn't meant to betext friendly its meant to be spoke or written in characters, like how Asia does but totally different characters. As you can see from above some mean a lot more than you might have thought.
