The wind howls. You cover your ears, but can't block out the sound. Your eyes are squeezed shut, and you strain to not open them. You already know what you'd see: shadows all around you, getting closer with each peek, threatening to consume you with pitch black darkness...
"There's nothing to be afraid of," you chant over and over again, hoping that you'll believe it after awhile. You try to conjure up happy thoughts, but they soon turn dark as the nightmares take over. "He doesn't exist. He doesn't exist." Your voice starts to shake as fear overcomes you.
"Oh, but I do." Your eyes pop open and are immediately drawn into coal-black orbs. The Boogeyman. "Miss me, Jamie?" His menacing laugh fills the room, bouncing off the walls and back into your ears. No.
"It's been awhile, hasn't it? Two years, if I'm correct. Two blasted years... but no matter. I'm back- for good. No precious Guardian to stop me now, is there? Only one thing standing in my way..." No.
"It's time for the last light to go out." You shut your eyes once more. No.
"Say goodbye, Jamie." No.
The world grows cold.
