DAY 0 – 11:00 AM – Redgrass University

The alarm sounded.

Nate gave a groggy moan as he raised his head from the warm soft pillows. Light spilled through the curtains, illuminating the messy state of his dorm room. Bedsheets sprawled half off the bed and clothes littered the floor. Nate rolled over shutting off his alarm through blurry eyes, before rubbing his temples to fight back the oncoming headache.

The girl from the night before was nowhere to be seen. 'Guess she left' He though to himself as he noticed a few garments that definitely didn't belong to him remained in the room. He winced as he sat up in bed, lazily scratching his head. He had no memory of the girls name, or how he got back to his room. But the scene before him was evidence enough of the nights events.

He glanced at the clock once his vision fully adjusted to the morning light. 11:07. "Ah shit." He sighed. He had an hour to get to class. Resigning himself to be late again rather than hurry, he climbed out of bed and pulled on some dark jeans that had somehow managed to avoid alcohol stains. Slipping on a simple grey top and a baggy hoody he staggered his way to the bathroom. Splashing water in his face, he let the icy temperature fully wake him from the last remnants of sleep before taking a look in the mirror.

Hazel eyes stared back at him with a vague recognition of the sorry state he was in. More awake, he quickly pulled on his boots and laced them up, grabbed his phone, keys and bag then left his room.

He left the dormitory building, a brisk wind greeting him as he squinted against the summer sun. His destination lay on the other side of campus, the university garage where his mechanics practical classes were held. "Nate!" A voice shouted from a little ways behind him.

With a sigh Nate slowed slightly allowing his friend to catch up without having to actually stop. "Devin." Nate gave a noncommittal nod in greeting.

"So how was that girl last night? She was pretty cute eh?" Devin asked, his voice far too cheerful and a smirk on his face.

"That ain't your business." Nate waved away the question. "The real question is how are you not hungover!" In the three years they'd known each other Nate had never witnessed his friend suffer a hangover despite him drinking just as much.

"When I figure out the secret, I'll let you know." Devin laughed. "I gotta get going, my Architecture lecture starts any minute. Aren't you gonna be late?"

"It'll be more concerning when I'm on time for a class." Nate gave a small laugh before waving his friend off and continuing on his way to the garage. The rest of his walk was quiet, more quiet than usual for this time of day but Nate was thankful for the lack of noise.

It was ten past twelve when he finally arrived at the garage, not the latest he's ever been but certainly enough to earn him a lecture from Professor Kichiro. As if on cue Professor Kichiro looked over from his work desk and visibly sighed at the sight of his student.

"Archer!" The use of his surname showed the professors evident anger. "If you would only finish your current project then I wouldn't have to hold these extra classes specifically for you! Do all Brits lack the decent to attend on time or is it just you, Archer."

Nate gave a nonchalant shrug. His work was worthy of top grades, even if he lacked the motivation to actually do it on time. "Professor if I could work in silence today I'm sure I'd get a lot more done."

Professor Kichiro visibly reddened at the remark before turning away back to his own work. "Hungover again." He grumbled, muttering more that Nate didn't care enough to pay attention too.

Nate wandered over to his project, a stripped out car that he'd be assigned to reassemble. A project he could've finished weeks ago if he didn't spend so much time fiddling with potential improvements only for them to dramatically backfire. "Guess I'll just fit the last pieces in place and call it done today then." Nate mumbled as he picked up a nearby wrench and set to work. "Maybe the next project will be a bit more interesting."

So there you have it, a basic prologue for my new OC based story. If you'd like to submit an OC then the form cam be found on my profile, just send it to me via PM. I'll be looking for about 7 OC's to properly get started with this story and then will either add more later or close the submissions depending on how things go.

The setting is pretty simple, starts in a university so OC's should have a reason to be there. Either a student or staff member. Obviously all the info I need is on the form and if you'd like to add anything you think I've missed feel free.

Hopefully I'll hear from you soon and I can get this show rolling!
