Just a bit of fun here.
John rubbed his temples hoping to alleviate the headache that seemed to be trying to build there. He's 99.9% sure this isn't what Sally had in mind when she suggested he take up fishing. He's 99.9% sure she meant for him to leave Sherlock not go fishing with him. The .1% uncertainty is for the fact he's also sure she'd love for him to push Sherlock off the pier they're currently sitting on. He absently considered if dealing with the results would be worth the momentary satisfaction. At the moment, he would like to push Sherlock off the pier they're sitting on.
"John! John, help!"
Or maybe not. He rather liked Sherlock's wide-eyed almost childish glee at each different fish, 'specimen' Sherlock insisted, that he got on his line.
"Ouch! John, help!"
He moved his hands down to cover his face and released a slow sigh before grabbing the kit at his side and standing to head to Sherlock's side. He just really wished the idiot genius would quit hooking himself in his enthusiasm. At least he'd had the forethought to grab the basic first aid kit they'd taken to keeping by the door before they'd left for this little adventure. It'd definitely need restocking by the time they were ready to return home though.
Can I ask - would people prefer I stick to short works (100-600words) and post somewhat regularly, i.e. something each month, or not post for a few months in a row but maybe give longer pieces (600 to probably only up to 2k)? I'm already a fanfic addict when it comes to reading but it seems I might've caught an incurable writing bug.
