While my plot-Bunny is on holiday, I thought I'd write something cute and plot-less. Maybe my Bunny comes back and puts some plot back into it later…
I hope you enjoy it and don't forget to tell me (if) you did!
I don't won a thing, blablabla, you know the drill ;)
„That is so not true!" Deeks protested loudly as he got out of the car. She just grinned and nodded, while locking her car.
"You are!" she replied with a knowing smile. "What was Damian Fletcher's watch like?" she asked and he shot her a confused look.
"We were there to ask him about his murdered brother! Why should I pay attention to his watch?" Deeks replied and shook his head. "That doesn't have anything to do with me being a bad observer. It's just not important!"
Kensi laughed out and pointed her index finger at him. "It was a Rolex! An high prized watch that doesn't fit with what he wanted to make us believe! Second hand clothes but a Rolex around the wrist?" she asked back and Deeks snorted. "So you indeed are a women! Looking at jewelry to judge a person!" he accused her, making her stop dead in her tracks and turn to him. A dangerous look in her eyes, she came closer.
"Okay, how about a more manly subject then? What car did he drive?" she asked, her voice low, eyes fixed on Deeks'.
"Silver sedan, right in front of the door!" Deeks replied, looking triumphantly as Kensi lifted an eyebrow. "He doesn't have a car! Three key rings, no car keys! Checked his wallet, neither registration nor driver's license!" she replied and her expression turned into a brilliant smile as she turned away again, walking towards the door of headquarters. "You are a lousy observer!"
A few days had passed and Deeks was still thinking about Kensi's assessment of his observatory skills. He was early for work, the lack of wind across the ocean had barely brought any wave that was worth surfing. This time when Kensi entered the headquarters he instantly noticed something was off. Something in her appearance was different and he instantly tried to figure out, what it was.
"Good morning, sunshine!" he greeted her and she smiled at him, placing a paper cup of coffee on his desk.
"Good morning!" she replied and opened a box to place a donut on the desk as well. Deeks eyed her skeptically and slowly got up.
"Something special today? I'm quite sure it's not your birthday, you didn't have a date last night… what's going on?" he asked but she just shook her head and placed the box on her desk.
"Nothing!" she replied and almost jumped back as she turned around and found Deeks standing quite close to her.
"You've got a new… shampoo? Detergent? Perfume?" he asked but she raised an eyebrow.
"No…"
"I know this scent… It's too masculine for you…" suddenly his eyes grew wide and he took a step back.
"You… you didn't have a date and I know the scent! You spent the night with someone of this team! Callen? Does Hetty know?" he asked, making her shake her head and try hard to suppress the urge to smack him across the head to shut him up.
"I didn't spent the night with anybody!" she hissed. "You are still a lousy observer! Stop it!" she gently pushed him away as he tried to get another nose full of the scent he tried to identify.
"I'm sure I know this scent… quite well even…" he breathed and shook his head.
A few more minutes passed with him mumbling things about scents and him knowing it before Kensi turned back to him again.
"Deeks!" she addressed him and undid the buttons of the shirt she was wearing over the black tank top. He could barely stop himself from staring at her hands and forced his eyes up to meet hers. With a laughter and a shake of her head she brushed the shirt off her shoulders and threw it at him.
"You should know the scent! You left your shirt in my car!"
