The fourth day of Christmas
Hiroki watched Nina as the two walked with Yuta and Sayaka in the lonely park. It was the first Christmas Nina was having in Japan after leaving to go to school back in the Magic Kingdom, but already it had seemed like ages since Hiroki had seen her. Nina had done some catching up with everyone for the past several hours since her arrival, and now Ayu and Tetsushi went out to buy a Christmas tree while the others went to a nearby outdoors skating rink.
"Look at the snowflakes, Hiroki!" Nina exclaimed, holding out her gloves and looking in child-like wonder as the icy flakes drifted down and rested on the olive wool.
One of Hiroki's trademark small smiles grew on his face as he stepped closer to the girl and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Nina loves the snow…" The girl murmured, seemingly still entranced by the snowflakes but sinking into Hiroki's embrace slightly.
"So do I." Hiroki concurred. He leaned forwards slightly to kiss her on the cheek, but was interrupted by a wail of surprise from behind him.
The two young lovers whirled around to see Yuta flailing around on his ice skates, trying to regain his balance before he fell backwards into the snow. Sayaka giggled slightly, then smoothly skated up to her helpless boyfriend, grabbed his arm and steadied him.
"Thanks," the boy said sheepishly before giving Sayaka a quick peck on the lips.
Hiroki shook his head. "Those two…"
"Nina is so glad both of them are happy!" the young witch cheered as she watched her two friends skate around the iced-over pond hand in hand.
Hiroki chuckled. "Yeah…"
"Um…" the blond girl turned to Hiroki, looking shy and blushing slightly. "Nina is so glad Hiroki is with Nina, because it makes Nina very happy…"
Hiroki smiled once more and pulled Nina close.
"It make me happy too, Nina."
Nina smiled softly as Hiroki tilted her chin up gently and kissed her on the lips.
Yes, everything in the world was right.
