Understanding

Fire burning in your eyes,

Anger eating up your insides.

Your rational thought,

Disappeared when I got caught.

Your Memories,

Love for my mother and my father's envies.

Failures you try to forget and Hope.

Your hands winding around my throat.

I try to speak, to say sorry.

More scared than when facing Fluffy.

You're not hearing none of that.

I'm the son of my father, a brat.

You hurl me across the room,

Your expression speaking my foredoom.

Your stalking closer to me now,

Like a butcher to a cow.

"I didn't know what would happen"

I plead and your eyes further blacken.

"Just like your father" you spit,

I flinch, waiting for the hit.

I know you know what they did,

My shields are too weak to keep it hid.

My "loving family",

Seeing me just as a flea.

You freeze and look at me, really look at me.

With your eyes piercing my soul I want to flee.

With understanding in your eyes you pick me off the floor,

"Dismissed. And 50 points from Gryffindor"

Some things never change
