Tohru Honda had the bluest eyes Kyo had ever seen. They sparkled whenever she was happy, which was most of the time, and never dulled in their brightness. Whenever she looked at him, he felt a rush of peace and he knew he was home. The wonderful blue that concentrated so hard in schoolwork, that shone when she made dinner, that lit up when she had a sudden thought.

He didn't think eyes could be that way until he met her and her big blue eyes.

He could tell a lot of things from just looking her straight in the face. He could see when she was happy, sad, hurt. He could see the emotions reflect off them, like a mirror. Her eyes told a whole story, if you cared enough to look, he thought.

He remembered staring idly at her when they were in high school, gazing at her on their wedding day, looking at her now, sitting across from him in front of the fireplace as she slept peacefully.

Her eyes hadn't changed. Not one bit.

And he liked in that way, still able to read a story simply by looking at his sweetheart, into her big blue eyes.

This is my first drabble, I hope you like it. I had a dream about this. I was just gazing into Tohru's eyes and thinking all of these things, when I realized I was looking through Kyo's perspective. So there we are.

The recipes for great things always come from new dreams.
