There were worse ways to spend time with your best friend, the young rabbit supposed. Altering old clothes had been a relatively normal thing for the two to do; it was what came after that surprised her. Really, chasing down common city villains in slightly outrageous super hero costumes wasn't anywhere near the top of her list of terrible things to do. But it must have been a peculiar sight to anyone watching to see a pink hedgehog and a small rabbit running through the main street, decked out in sparkles, ribbons, and one wielding a giant mallet, after a burglar.
"Stop, there's no way you'll get away from the Jubilee Squad!"
Cream sighed. She loved her friend, but sometimes she felt Amy could stand to use some of the 'magic words' the rabbit's mother had taught her. "Please, Mister Thief! We don't want to hurt you!"
Even with the girl's polite plea for him to stop, the criminal continued to run off, turning the corner ahead as he tried to rid himself of his pursuers. Unfortunately for him, one of his chasers was particularly persistent. With a glint of determination in her eyes, Amy sped up as she dashed after him, hurling her Piko Piko Hammer at him. With a loud KONK, the weapon meet the back of the thief's head and he found himself unconscious on the ground.
Slowing to a pleased walk, the hedgehog approached her prey. "You were no match for us! Another criminal bites the dust!"
As soon as Cream had caught up, she peered worriedly at the injured man. "I hope he'll be all right…"
"He'll be fine, Cream, don't worry! The police will take care of it from here. Oh, I can't wait until Sonic hears about this" A dreamy look filled the pink hedgehog's eyes. She hoped this would be enough to prove herself to her hero! Her companion, however, shook her head at this yet remained silent, not wanting to accidentally say something that might hurt her friend's feelings. Sometimes, she wondered if Amy would be chasing her crush for years in vain, but regardless of her personal feelings, she would continue to support her friend, even if Amy's projects lead them into situations like these.
A scream of terror brought the two's attention back to reality. "C'mon, Cream, someone needs our help!" With that, the duo sprung into action, hurrying to solve whatever problem had arisen on the streets of Station Square.
It was later that Cream realized it was all just an unusual way to play dress up.
