Yes! This is the first thing I've put on fanfiction! This is a collection of poems I wrote a year ago and recently revised. Hope they aren't that bad.

Disclaimer: I do not own any Greek myths and I don't know who does.

Perseus

Release the Kraken so he said

Soon the people will all be dead

Crashing waves and people scream

All for the punishment of one vain queen

Beautiful Andromeda chained to a stone

The Kraken's emerge chills to the bone

Brave Perseus with death held high

Medusa's head held to the sky

The Kraken turned to rock, frozen in time

Forever to be cloaked in dirt and grime

Princess of Ethiopia and son of Danae

Cast in the stars their eternal pay

-----------------

Pygmalion

Pygmalion loved a girl of stone

Would trade her life for his own

He hoped for an eternal embrace

Instead of rock she lost all trace

To him the gods a gift to give

Galatea and Pygmalion together to live

---------------------

Echo and Narcissus

A vain man she fell in love

Himself he thought was above

He scorned her adoration

His love of himself a petty imitation

So in the water he must look

A flower be the flowing brook

She forevermore

An echo of her love

---------------

Arachne

A weaver was she of yarn and string

She thought herself a wondrous thing

Better than the goddess herself

Now forever on a shelf

A fateful contest, a new shape to be worn

Eight legs and eyes, her new form

A spider spinning webs of silk

A vain person with her ilk

------------------

Prometheus

Doom to man they have no life

Beast and brambles, naught but strife

Kind Prometheus gave heavenly fire

But buildings and greed grew higher and higher

Mighty Zeus with his thunder raged

The titan to a mountain caged

Each morning his liver an eagle did eat

But move he could not for chains on his feet

Until a mighty battle Hercules had won

The eagles life over and done

For men the punishment would be severe

Another gift but this one queer

A woman with a box

OK so those are my poems. I hope they are OK. I had to write two cuplets for school and I kind of went overboard. Oh well, I like them.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to read these. Please review and tell me what you thought.

Have a great day!
