As he approached the man, he knew he was in danger. Blood-red eyes met the tinted green and brown of his. A flash of light engulfed both of the men and the blood-red eyes started to fade. Silence descended and all that could be heard was the echo of what the group behind them had shouted:
"Vincent!"
"Abii! You are late again!" the brown haired girl sighed.
"I am sorry Heather. I overslept and I needed to have my morning coffee." The girl named Abii replied.
"The usual excuse then." It was a perfectly normal day for these two schoolgirls. They had woken up and gone about their morning routines and as usual they were late for school.
"Come on. We better get moving," said Heather as they started to run. Heather was a 15 year old of average height with medium length brown hair, which she kept out of her face with an Alice band. Her eyes were also brown.
"Okay. Oh no! We have a seventh lesson today and its double music." Abii said. She was slightly shorter than Heather and her hair colour was constantly changing. At the moment Abii was ginger. Her eyes were green. She was also 15. Nothing about these girls suggested that they were anything but ordinary. Today however, their lives were about to change.
"Oh yeah. I have double Geography." Heather replied. "Abii, can we have a quick look around the market please? You might be able to find a bigger ear tunnel for you."
"Fine, we are late anyway." She replied. And so they walked around the market. There were many stalls selling all sorts of bits and bobs. There was a stall selling fish, another sold fruit and one even sold material however there was only one thing that caught Heather's eye. It was a chibi style plushie with red eyes and long black felt hair. It had a felt gun and wore a red cloak.
"Aww… It's so cute. I am going to buy it." Heather decided. She picked it up and paid for it. Then she went to show Abii.
"Abii! Abii! Look what I bought!" she called out.
"That is cute. But Heather you are such a wuss sometimes." Abii teased. Then they finally made it to school, 30 minutes late.
Heather hadn't given a moment's thought to the plushie she had bought until that evening. She had done her homework and had talked to Abii on facebook for an hour when she decided to go to bed. She fell asleep with her new toy and that was when Heather and Abii's fate was decided.
