"Jack no, we both are gonna get married soon. You know what would happen if we told our soon to be wives or anyone," explained Ennis.

" I guess so," Jack said miserably sighing.

Ennis sighed as well. "You know I want it to work too Cowboy," he said softly and sadly.

"Yeah." Jack responded.

"Come on Darlin' As soon as our honeymoons end we'll see each other again."

" Ok Ennis," Jack answered brokenly again.

"Jack."

"Hmm?" Jack asked.

" Give me… one last goodbye kiss."

"Stay just a little while longer, Please?" Jack almost begged.

" Thanks I love you too Ennis."

"Guess this is goodbye." Ennis hugged him. Jack hugged back not wanting to let him go. "Jack." He said softly knowing this was tearin' Jack apart but also that it had to be done.

"Goodbye won't forget you either…Ennis."

"Bye Cowboy." Ennis slowly walked away got into his truck and drove away. Jack watched him go sadly until the truck disappeared. Then he fell to his knees and cried at the loss of his first love that went by the name…Ennis…
