I

HAVE

RETURNED!

*dramatic fanfare*

So yeah.

I'm back. After finishing school for the year and getting sucked into the Legend of Korra fandom, I have returned. With a shipping fic, no less.

Ehyeah, I kinda came back cuz I missed being in a fandom where all the ships are safe because they're technically not canon anyway. And it's over, so it's safe from trolling creators.

Anyway, this is kinda KopakaxGali, absurdly short, and sorta part of an AU I've been thinking of writing. Really, this just exists because I had a vision (aka, mind was wandering and somehow produced an image) of Kopaka doing a spit take and being briefly rendered incapable of coherent speech.

As for my other fics (because I know someone's going to ask about them), they're not doing so well. And by "not doing well", I may or may not mean "on their deathbed". I desperately wish it wasn't true, but it just might be. I'm gonna try reviving them over the summer, but we all know how good I am at that. I make no promises.

Anyway, onward!

Disclaimer: Eeenope, still don't own it.

Kopaka was not known to be an emotional or excitable person. Tahu, the loudmouthed leader of his newly-formed Toa team, often claimed to know that Kopaka was really a robot. Kopaka had stopped arguing with him on this after the first fifteen accusations in favor of those times he was being really stupid.

Like now, when Tahu walked in out of nowhere, sat down at Kopaka's kitchen table, flicked his red hair out of his eyes, and said, "You should ask Gali out."

Kopaka spit out the sip of water he had just taken and struggled for a coherent response. Unfortunately, with so many immediate, pressing questions, like: "Why?", "What makes you think she likes me?", "How do you even know I like her?", and "What are you doing in my house?", his brain couldn't decide which one took priority, and so decided on all of them at once.

"Why-what-howdo-you-inmy-think-likes-her-youeven-whatare-myhouse-" He stopped to take a breath. "What?"

Tahu stifled a laugh, leaned forward and said slowly, "You...Gali...Date."

Kopaka stared through his blonde bangs with a furrowed brow. "Why?"

"I know you like her," Tahu snapped, crossing his arms over his chest.

Kopaka continued staring. "...What?"

Tahu sighed and reached for the newspaper on the table, which conveniently had a photo of their attractive female teammate on the front page.

"You..." He pointed exaggeratedly at Kopaka,"...like...", he drew a large heart in the air with both pointer fingers, "...her." He placed a finger on Gali's photo. "And good news, she...likes...you." He reversed the motions as he spoke.

"You..." Kopaka pointed at Tahu, "...are crazy." He drew a small circle next to his head. "I have no interest in romancing a teammate."

"Then why're you blushing?" Tahu asked with a smug grin.

Kopaka hated him right now. Truly, deeply hated him. "You...you're...I'm not blushing."

"Riiiight," Tahu snorted. He stood up and walked out. "Seriously, just do us all a favor and ask the girl out. We're all sick of you two mooning over each other at meetings."
