"You ready, Lia?" Hiro Hamada asked. He and his five-year-old daughter had gone to the park and got ice cream. "Yes!" Lia beamed. Hiro couldn't help but smile, "Okay, let's go. Hold my hand, please." Lia took hold of her father's hand. Before Hiro and Lia could go to their favorite bench, Yama and his men blocked their path. "Lia, get behind me," Hiro said sternly yet gently. Lia hid behind Hiro's back. While her father was busy trying to talk Yama and his men to leave as peacefully as he could, Lia found Hiro's cell phone and sent her Uncle Tadashi a text. Hiro started teaching Lia things such as this for if and when they were ever in danger. Well, now was the time to do something.
"Yama," Hiro tried for the fourth time. "I don't want to cause any trouble here. Please, let my daughter and I pass." "My men and I will let you pass as long as you give us your daughter," Yama smirked with a glint in his eye. "Don't. You. DARE. TOUCH my daughter," Hiro hissed while trying not to show venom in his voice. Hiro was protective when it came to his daughter. First, it was him and his brother who looked out for each other. Then, Hiro and Sora met and fell in love with each other later on. Hiro knew that he was protective of Tadashi and that Tadashi was of him, but Hiro had never felt this protective when he and Sora adopted Lia after getting married. Unfortunately, Hiro and Sora couldn't live together because of the World Order as Sora called it. This pained both deeply. However, the King decided to allow Sora to visit San Fransokyo every spring. The season now was summer.
Not having Sora around as much as Hiro would like has been difficult. Thankfully, he had Tadashi and Tadashi loved his niece. Aunt Cass was there to help too.
Tadashi's cell phone rang. He had been taking some notes for his newest project. His eyes widened. The text read: Uncle Tadashi! Help! Daddy and I need help! Yama here at park. Tadashi knew that something wasn't right. His baby brother and baby niece needed him. He raced towards the park on his motorcycle. He hoped and prayed that they would be okay once he arrived at the park.
Yama was about to beat Hiro up. Lia was hiding somewhere. The ice cream vendor man was unconscious. "Hiro!" Tadashi yelled and rammed his motorcycle towards Yama. It hit him away from Hiro. Hiro dropped. Yama and his men ran off. "Are you okay, Hiro!?" Tadashi helped Hiro up. "Where's Lia!?" "Lia!?" Hiro called. "Come out, baby!" Lia came out of her hiding place which was behind the bushes. "Uncle Tadashi!" Lia sobbed as she ran towards her uncle. "Lia," Tadashi picked Lia up and held her tightly. "Thank God I came as quickly as I could." "Yes, thank you, Tadashi," Hiro sighed with relief.
Once the ice cream man had regained consciousness, Tadashi and Hiro went back home. Tadashi couldn't stop holding his baby niece. He refused to put her down until Lia felt okay. He all of a sudden felt something wet against his leg. He looked down. His eyes widened, "Hiro! Lia's knees are bleeding!" The two brothers rushed to the bathroom. Tadashi called for Baymax who scanned Lia. "Well, Baymax?" Tadashi asked concerned. "She had fallen and scrapped them," Baymax confirmed. "Thank you, Baymax. I am satisfied with my care," Tadashi relaxed a little. So did Hiro. "Lia, honey," Tadashi began. "I'm going to bandage you." "O-Okay," Lia sniffed. Both brothers noticed that she was shaking. "I-I want Uncle Fred. P-Please, Uncle Tadashi? After you b-bandage m-me, c-can he c-come o-over?" "Of course, honey," Tadashi hugged her gently. "If it's okay with your dad." "Yeah, sure, why not," Hiro smiled. As apposed to Tadashi, he and Hiro knew that Fred had the healing power to help Lia calm down too.
"Fred," Tadashi whispered once Fred arrived at the Lucky Cat Cafe. Tadashi hugged his boyfriend close. "I'm so glad you're here." "Hey," Fred began concerned as he returned the hug. "What happened?" "It's Lia," Tadashi sat down at one of the tables. "She was hurt." Fred's eyes widened, "W-What? I-Is s-she okay?" Despite the fact of how close Lia was to her Uncle Tadashi, she felt more close to Fred. "She's okay," Tadashi nodded and Fred sighed with relief sitting down next to Tadashi. "Then, what happened, Tadashi?" "My baby brother and baby niece were ambushed by Yama and his men at the park today," Tadashi whispered with a shaky breath. "And Lia scrapped both of her knees as she ran to hide. She was shaking non stop. She wanted you, Fred. After I bandaged her, Hiro tried to hug her, and she flinched. She's at her room now waiting for you." Fred looked down shocked by the fact that Lia would allow her Uncle Tadashi and even her Uncle Fred to touch her, but not her own father? He looked back at Tadashi and took both of his hands in his. "I'll talk with her, Tadashi. I'll try to find out what else happened." "Thank you, Fred," Tadashi smiled weakly.
