"Dance With me"
Ron sat at the table in silence. He was nervous out of his mind. It was the graduation ball and he was trying to find a way to ask the amazing (at least in his mind) Hermione Granger to dance with him. He loved everything about her. The way she smiled, her laugh, her bushy hair, and her brown eyes. She might of been bossy, smarter then him, and they constantly fought, but he loved her anyway.
He knew she might say yes, but he was still nervous he might mess up. 'What if I step on her foot?' 'What if she doesn't enjoy the dance?' 'What if she doesn't even what to and doesn't love me back?' Ron sat thinking to himself as Harry, his best mate, walked up and sat down next to him. "Ginny can dance. I just need a rest." He laughed to himself before he noticed Ron wasn't paying attention. "What's wrong, mate?"
Ron looked at him and sighed. "Nothing I just….nevermind."
Harry rolled his eyes. "If you want to ask Hermione to dance just do it I know she'll say yes."
Ron's eyes widened. "How did you-"
"Ron, come on, I'm not stupid, just ask her."
"But what if I mess up, or do or say something stupid."
Harry laughed. "Ron, she likes you a lot, loves maybe. Just go." Harry push him out of his chair and onto the floor. Ron walked over the table where Hermione was with Ginny, and Luna. They were talking but Ron couldn't hear them. Hermione's hair was up in a bun and was wearing a golden dress that came to her knees. Ron's heart skipped a beat, she looked so beautiful, he got a feeling in his stomach, like butterflies. 'I can do this.' He thought to himself.
He walked slowing over to the table. He was quickly noticed by Luna who instantly got up, grabbing Ginny's arm and dragging her to the dance floor. Hermione looked at Ron and smiled. Ron's ears turned red. "Hello Ron." Hermione said.
"Hey" He said clearing his throat. "So.. are you enjoying yourself?"
Hermione's smile faded. " Oh yea. I'm have a great time. What about you?"
Ron looked at her. He just stared at her for what felt like a lifetime until Hermione snapped him out of it. "
"Ron?" She said giving him a strange look.
"Oh I'm have a fun time too. Anyway I didn't come over to ask that, I was wondering if…." He stopped and cleared his throat again. As he did a slow song started playing. It was now or never. "Do you want to dance?"
Hermione smiled before replying. "I would love too."
Hermione got up and Ron escorted her to the dance floor. Hermione put her hand on his shoulder and he put his hand on her waist. He was very nervous. 'Am I doing it right? Maybe she doesn't care. Oh what am I doing?'
Ron and Hermione danced slowly to the song. They talked about what they were going to do after they graduate, now that Voldemort's and the war is over Hermione talked about going to find her parents then maybe working for the Ministry. Ron talked about becoming a Auor.
"Well I think you would be great at that Ron." Hermione said
"Thank you." Ron smiled. "Hermione, I want to tell you something." Ron could tell his ears were turning red like cherries.
"Ok go on.."
"I…..I" Ron stuttered. "Iloveyou" Ron said quietly in a whisper.
"I'm sorry? Could you repeat that."
"I...Love you." Ron said looking her in the eyes. He couldn't believe he had finally said it after all these years.
Hermione smile and brushed. She then leaned up to his ear and whispered. "I love you too."
Ron looked at her and smiled again he was so happy. Hermione Granger just told him that she loved him back. He then leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. At this point they weren't dancing but in a loving embrace with Hermione's hands around Ron's neck and his hands wrapped around her waist. Finally after a minute they broke the kiss, and Ron and Hermione dance for the rest of the night.
I was finally inspired! :) I hope you liked it. Please review and tell me if you have any ideas of what I should write next.
