AN: Here there be limericks. I did not intend to write them. I did not intend to post them. And yet, just as the best-laid plans go oft awry, so did I make the mistake of sending these to Calyn, who demanded, and I quoth, that I "SHAR TEH LULZ" and I unquoth. Any blame should be directed to her.
Though I do not intend to write more, the ravages of time may prove me wrong. Whether you love me for this, hate me for it, review, flame, or roll your eyes and walk away, here are the limericks.
Digory Digory Dable
I hope that you are able
To touch the ring—
What a simple thing—
It's right here, on the table.
(Don't make me call dear Mabel!)
Ketterly Ketterly Klock
All goodness you do mock.
You're black as sable,
Like in a fable
(But your watch will end in hock
And ice affect your socks.)
Polly and Digory played
The cabby's gone away
His little horse
Has wings (of course!)
Dear me, what a thrilling day!
Caspian Caspian Carr
Did deeply love a star—
Rather, the daughter of one.
(From the movie please run
It's exceedingly far below par.
And all we can do with it is go hardi-har-har.)
Dufflepud Moneypod Duffer
We're ugly and we suffer
(You said it, Chief!)
And what's their beef?
To find it ourselves would be tougher.
Ramandu Ramandu Ree
The food here really is free
But as you value your life
Please, don't touch the knife.
(That's why they're all sleeping, you see.)
AN2: I never said they were good limericks, did I? Did I?
