I sat at the kitchen table, reading the first Death Note manga again, when Len walked in.
"Hey Piko, ever heard of Game Night?" He asked.
"What?" I asked confused.
"It's a thing humans do, usually once a week, where they play some type of game."
"Okay. So what's your point?" I questioned.
"Well Kaito snuck into masters bedroom, and stole a bunch of board games, so do you want to play?"
"That idiot! He shouldn't be stealing masters stuff!"
"That didn't answer my question."
"No I don't want to play! What if master catches us?"
"Aww, come on Piko! I'll pull your tail if you don't play!"
I shuddered.
"The last time you did that, you almost broke my spine!"
He grabbed my tail.
"Okay! Okay!" I shouted, setting my book down. "So who all's playing?"
"Let's see, Gumi, Rin, Kaito, Lily, Meiko, You, and me.
"I sighed and got up. Len led me to the living room. Everyone sat around a pile of cardboard boxes.
"Hey guys, Piko's playing too!" Len yelled.
We both sat down.
"Okay, change of plan. None of these games looked all that interesting, so instead we're going to play spin the bottle." Meiko explained.
Len snickerd and asked "Piko, want to play spin the bottle?"
"Umm sure, how do you play?" I replied.
"You'll get the hand of it." Kaito told me.
Rin whispered something to Lily, who was sitting next to her, and they both burst out laughing. Gumi, who was sitting to the right of me, looked as lost as I felt.
"Well we need a bottle." Commented Lily.
"I've got one right here." Meiko said as she pulled an empty sake bottle from her shirt.
I stared at her. "Where the hell did that come from, Meiko?" I questioned.
"From between my bo-"
"Meiko! There are children present!" Kaito interrupted.
I looked at Len, who was to my left. He just shrugged.
"Well, Let's start!" Len said, taking the bottle from Meiko and placing it in the middle of our circle.
"I'll go first!" Len shouted.
He grabbed the bottle and started spinning it. Round and around it spun. It made me dizzy just to look at it.
When it finally stopped spinning the bottle was pointing at me.
"Umm, what exactly do I have to do?" I questioned.
"Absolutely Nothing." Kaito replied, trying not to laugh.
"But it landed on me." I was confused, that was obvious.
"Piko.."
"Yes Len?" I responded.
In the next instant Len's lips were pressed against mine. Me eyes widened and my body froze.
It took all of my strength to push him away.
"What the hell Len?" I shouted.
Everyone but Gumi burst out laughing.
"Piko, that's how the game is played." Lily explained. She was laughing so hard, that tears were coming out of her eyes.
"And now it's your turn to spin." Kaito heaved.
"There's no way in hell I'm spinning that bottle!" I screamed.
"I don't want to play anymore." Gumi whispered. She didn't know what she had gotten into either.
" You two can't escaped that easily, we won't let you!" Rin challenged.
"And if you don't spin, I'll spin for you." Len replied.
Gumi looked like she was about to cry.
I scowled and gave up. I spun the bottle as hard as I could. It landed on Gumi.
And that's when it occured to me that this game wasn't so bad, well as long as Len or Gumi was playing anyway.
