"GOBBLE, GOBBLE!" a turkey cried out, just managing to escape the grasp of large, human hands; only to turn around to see his brethren in his place.
He pecked and he pecked at the giant boots in the hopes of setting his kin free, to no avail. Pecking with all his might, he still couldn't get the wretched human to let go of his older brother.
The human was holding his brother upside down and carrying him over to a flat log, out turkey friend was all too familiar with. For that very same log, is the log that comes out once every year to claim it's next victim. Just last year, he lost his father to that log. He was determined to not let his brother fall to the same fate.
Sadly though, determination doesn't always save lives or heads. He watched, for the second time during his life, the gruesome death of another family member in horror.
Why can't humans just eat like we do? He thought to himself more than once. Why can't they just let us live our life to the fullest without fear?
He stalked off to his coop, seeing as he no longer had a chance to save his brother's life, and wept.
That is, until a glowing, dark purple butterfly fluttered into his coop.
"Hello," a creepy voice said, once the butterfly literally entered his skull, "I am Hawkmoth, and you are Turk-King. I will grant your wish to avenge your family, and in return, you shall grant mine, the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous. Do we have a deal?
A/N: Sorry for the weird story and short chapter. I don't really know how to split them without making them into separate chapters. Soooooo... Enjoy this crazy story about turkeys and butterflies! Remember to R&R!
