Arabella leant over the barrier of the tallest balcony, watching, waiting. It wasn't long until the man she was waiting for wearing his signature bow tie leant over the barrier with her.

"Right on time." The young girl said not moving. "You're never on time."

"I am when I need to be." The strange man replied. "You need me to be." He place a hand gently on her chin, tilting it to look at him slightly.

For a moment, neither said anything. They just stood looking at the stars, the only sound being the slight breeze ruffling the girls long hair occasionally.

"Why?" The doctor looked at here confused for a minute, almost confused as to why he was confused.

"Why me? Of all the amazing things you've seen, the people you've met, the beautiful people who admire you." Realisation dawned on the doctors face before it was replaced by sadness and slight anger.

"I don't care. There's a reason you are the only species, person, planet that I have arrived on time for. You matter. You are what I care about." Sincerity was all that you could hear in his voice as he moved his hand to cup her cheek. Subconsciously she leant into his hand, a single tear falling from her closed lids.

The doctor kissed the tear away from the corner of her mouth.

"Arabella Rose it has always been you. You. Not anyone else. Ever. It's you that my hearts beat for. It always has been." He pulled her short frame into a tight hug, her face coming to rest on his chest.
