If You Have a Bad Day (Grab a Canadian)

The door rattled as a key was clumsily plugged into the lock.

Canada raised a brow as he peeked over the top of his Canadian Tire magazine, which he had been looking at because he needed a new shovel after Alfred went and used it to kill alleged 'zombies' at their last meeting. Then broke it in half when he went to strike a heroic pose.

From his spot on the couch in the living room, Matthew had a clear view right to the front door and he watched as a very happy-looking American stumbled in, tossing his bag to the floor with a little too much force.

"I'm home!" He called out, a tone higher than usual as he toed off his scuffed-up dress shoes to reveal his mismatched socks.

"What's the matter?" Matthew demanded automatically, standing up from the couch and approaching the other.

Alfred looked up, a confused look on his sharp features as he struggled out of his jacket blindly.

"How'd you even know something was wrong?" He frowned, body instantly slumping dejectedly as Canada took his jacket and hung it neatly onto a hook beside them.

"Really, Alfred?" Matthew forced the quirk on his lips down because he figured that pointing out how obvious Alfred could be sometimes would ruin whatever mood they had. Instead, he sighed, leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to the other's freckled cheek. "I just know, 'kay?" He smiled his own version of Alfred's Hollywood smile as he watched the American's face flood with heat.

"Mattie!" American pouted, slapping a hand over the spot where the Canadian had just pecked him. "I was going to come home and have you be all concerned over me and cook me hamburger pancakes and then finally rant it out like a boss. But no, you just gotta go and ruin my plans with your all-knowingness, huh?"

Matthew merely laughed, looping his long arms around the other's shoulders.

"Let's just say I've got my own way of comforting you, yeah?" He winked cheekily, pressing into Alfred until he was pinned up against the wall, right next to his bomber jacket.

The American cocked his head to the side, sliding his sky blue gaze to the ceiling as he pretended to contemplate the idea, amused smile playing on his pale pink lips.

"Hmmm," He hummed thoughtfully before locking his eyes on to the other's violet ones, blinking once. "I think I'll like your way better."

"Hell yeah you will," Matthew snickered right before he leaned in and proceeded to snog Alfred senseless.

Notes:

According to Urban Dictionary, 'snogging' is not the same as 'making out' because it's passionate…hence why I used it instead xDD

Hope you enjoyed this random drabble~
