A/N: Well, another Sunday. I've been away lately so this was written today. I hope it turned out OK. By the way, not 100 words. Try 130 or so. Got a little carried away.

Death and All His Friends

There was so much death, carnage, unnecessary killings. Bodies of good and evil strewn about. And at the head of the attack: a little 12-year-old child, a video game controller in his hand, while a mother wanders around the store.

To the child, this was exciting, new. To the parent, it was harmless, unreal.

The child made gun noises as he blew away more of the enemy, leaving a clear pile of bodies behind him.

But to the hunter looking in, this was life. This was reality at it's most gruesome, with one difference. There was no pause button, no restarting. No way to fix any wrongdoing; no covering the gore with pretty graphics. He had to live with the death, carnage, and unnecessary killings.

War was his life. The mother and child couldn't even imagine.

A/N: This came to me after playing Halo 3. I couldn't help myself. Hope you'll all review!
