Tidus' Interlude
Listen to my story
If there's even really anyone
Around to hear it
Can anyone hear my words?
Please tell me where I am
If my words can even be reached
When I opened my eyes
I smiled with hope
Her words lingering in my mind
"I love you."
I swam to the surface
And felt the warmth of the sun
I stayed there for a moment
Before I let it sink in
I am all alone
A cloud blocked the sun
As my smile faded away
Raindrops start to fall
I realize that I'm all alone
No one is coming for me
Not Wakka, not Yuna… no one
I stare at the infinite sea
A metaphor for my loneliness
I find myself asking: do I truly exist?
I killed my own father
Who I've hated my whole life
I'm realizing now how guilty I feel
If I manage to find him
In the vastness of this nothingness
Will he be able to forgive me?
If I continue to swim this endless sea
Will I reach the shore?
Or is it another lost hope?
"We'll see you again!"
I remember Rikku call after me
As she acted strong
The water is cold
The raindrops are heavy
And I can feel everything
This realization
And the memories of my friends
Gives me a renewed hope
I will find the shore
And I will find my father
And we'll go back to Spira
I promise I'll come back
We'll continue our story
And it will have a happy ending
Ixi: My first poem in a long time! So how was it? It was inspired by the last scene in Final Fantasy X where Tidus is in a vast body of water. I felt that there was a glimmer of hope for Tidus when I saw he was alive, even if it is in another dream. Anyway, I hope everyone liked the poem!
