If you're confused, its okay.

"I love you."

I ignored his confession. He was trying to pull me into the web of lies he weaved around me. I was one of his juicy preys, wriggling in his threads for escape. He was the spider; closing in, about to pierce my heart with his cold, hard fangs.

"Hollyleaf," he whispered, his voice pained. I turned my head away from him, trying to not allow myself to fall into his seductive gaze. He curled his body around mine, licking the fur around my neck. Rubbing his cheek along my chest fur, he didn't loosen his grasp. I stayed firm as a tree, as he twisted against my pelt like a vine.

"Go away Sol. I have no business with you," I shot, venom sparking in my green eyes. He merely chuckled, the evil sound filling the night silence. Amusement dotted his pale yellow eyes. I didn't back away as I might've earlier. Instead I posed for a fight if he touched me again.

He crept forward, not laying a whisker on my fur but circling around me. He was close though, I could feel his hot breath clouding the air. "Sol," I warned, my ears prickling. I was uncomfortable. He thrust his handsome face infront of my own, challenging me with a sneer.

"Hollyleaf," he murmured, closing his eyes as though the sound of my name soothed the tension around us. "Hollyleaf, I wish you would love me as well." There was such hurt in his purr. I would have adored him earlier if I didn't know his true personality. The vile soul underneath his bold exterior was the only thing I could see when I glared at him. And at nights like these, the soul was more visible than ever before.

Then he made his move. His tail had whipped out of nowhere and traced along my spine. I jumped backwards, hissing. I lashed my forepaws out at him, feeling my claws slice through his muzzle. Bright drops of blood showered the forest debris beneath us, and he pulled away, hissing.

What I did was reckless. Sol was a much larger cat than me, and he was now drawing his body to full height. I was filled with terror as he threw himself on top of me, pinning me to the ground. He snapped his teeth at my neck, was he trying to kill me? I scratched at his belly fur with me hind paws, feeling the soft skin of his underside. He leaped away from me, sitting on his hindquarters as he watched me struggle back to my feet.

"Don't touch me!" I snarled, pacing infront of him. He shrugged and cleaned his wound. "It's just that you're so irresistible Hollyleaf."

I narrowed my eyes, keeping myself on my toes incase he unsheathed his claws again. I had to be ready. "Sol, I know what this is about. You want me to deceive Thunderclan into having a battle with Windclan. I already told you, Thunderclan thinks I'm dead! There's nothing I can do."

Sol smiled, tilting his head back to gaze at the stars. I padded wearily up to him and took a seat on his opposite. Sol began to speak, his voice felt like warm lava. "Hollyleaf, look at the sky. What do you see? To you it is Starclan. To me it is just stars."

"What does this have to with anything?" I asked, bemused.

"Nothing. My beliefs are different to yours. I do not care whether the clans think you're dead. They all believe you went to Starclan. You can follow the plan, as a Starclan cat. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

I froze. I understood.
