He spun around quickly, fists clenched.
"Sorry," Steve smiled, putting up his hands in supplication, "Didn't mean to startle you."
"It's ok," Bucky murmured, turning back to look out over the NYC cityscape, the sun going down over the skyscrapers, "just jumpy I guess."
Steve nodded and came to stand next to him, "I forgot..." he started, then stopped.
"Forgot what?" Bucky asked, turning a little to face him.
The sun glinted off Bucky's arm.
"Forgot how... beautiful... you are," Steve trailed off, blushing.
Bucky looked at him, hard, "My memory isn't the best," he said, "but did we ever... did I ever... tell you... how I felt?"
Steve shook his head, "We both knew," he said, "but it was the times, Buck. Neither of us said a word."
Bucky nodded, "That was stupid," he said, and threw his arms around the man he loved.
