The fall of a Sparrow
I do not own True Blood or The Southern Vampire Mysteries.
This came to me when watching Hamlet. In Act 5, he says, "There is some special providence in the fall of a sparrow".
A gunshot was heard. A sparrow fell to the ground.
Alcide, in wolf form, smelled the blood. He sniffed around until he saw a bleeding sparrow.
It suddenly shifted into a young girl. Alcide growled.
The girl shifted into a dog, rabbit, sparrow, and so on.
Alcide shifted back and called Sam Merlotte. "Sam, its Alcide. I found a girl. She was shot in sparrow form and now she keeps shifting", he said.
"Okay. I'll be there", Sam said. 15 minutes later, he arrived. He sat down next to the still shifting girl. He placed his hand on her head and said, "Cher, I need you to shift back to your true form".
The girl shifted back to human form.
Alcide picked the girl up and ran back to his house.
When Claire awoke, she was in a strange house and her arm was in a sling.
"Oh good, you're awake", a male voice said.
Claire turned and saw the most gorgeous man she had ever seen.
"I'm Alcide. I found you and called my friend Sam-"
Claire cut him off. "Merlotte? That's so embarrassing! He used to babysit me!" Claire exclaimed, horrified.
"You're from Bon Temps?" Alcide asked.
"Yeah", I said.
"My friend Sookie lives there", Alcide said.
There was a silence between them.
"I'm Claire Sites", Claire said.
"I should let you rest some more", Alcide said.
As he left, Claire said, "I'm glad I was shot out of the sky".
"Why?" he asked.
"It bought me to you", Claire said.
