Simple
It was never really that simple was it? Super heroes and super villains, they never just fade away. Even the people who live in the gray area, her area, don't go away. In fact they're even more prone to sticking around longer then they should.
So Brushogun didn't disappear, she and her former companions made sure of that. Without him they would die, and that was now murder. Robin could try to convince himself that he hadn't killed anybody, that it wasn't his fault. But she knew better. They had been alive for a long time, a very long time. Ink may have flowed through her veins, her skin may have been paper, but as sure as you are breathing, she was alive. At least in her opinion. Who else's mattered any ways? She, Nya-Nya, was alive. And then, she was well on her way to Jump City.

Learning English had been a horrific task. In fact, she learned Spanish first, and then French, and she even got most of German under her belt before some tourist had been whispering about her, in English, behind her back. That broke the camel's back, she started learning English the next day.

Finding the Titans Tower was easy. She wondered - often while planning on breaking in - why they didn't make a sign telling the entire world where they were.
---
Running into Beast Boy was the entire plan. And upon first encounter with her match since Tokyo, she found him outside of a building. A sign told her it was a high school, and very soon a swarm of students were released from it, proving the sign correct. B.B., as she heard the robot/man call him, was talking to a blonde. She didn't bother sticking around for long, she didn't like arguments.
---
Days later, it was all too easy to just walk up to him as he sulked around. She wouldn't let it be that simple. Things were always complicated. Always.
"Who was the girl?" She asked him, not even bothering to switch out of cat form.
"A friend." He replied, not even bothering to look up.
"Didn't sound like you guys were friends." Her tail flicked in annoyance. She wanted to see his face.
"We used to be." He looked up, his green eyes widening. "It's..."
"Missed you." She leaned down and kissed him.
Simple as that.
