Daisuke yawned as he played the Solitaire game. Move the six onto the seven. Click the two. Click the deck. Ace! Click. Click, click, click. A three. Move it onto the four. Click some more. It seemed the only way to get out of this terrible life was to escape reality. With a small game of Solitaire.
Click! Daisuke thought back to that horrible day that changed his life, whatever is left of it. A month ago, Ken was walking home for their special date. It was a normal day. College and work. Like every other fairy-tale story, it has to have a twist, but this one didn't lead to a "happily ever after" ending.
Ken carried a small box and a red rose. How do you ask someone to marry you? Ken thought of every way and couldn't come up with anything. He held the rose close to his chest and whispered to himself, "I love you, Daisuke."
"What are you? Gay?" A man walked up in front of Ken and spit on his shoes. "Go home to your little boyfriend, Oh gay one! We don't like your kind around here."
Ken looked around for an escape route. A few of the guy's friends walk up behind him. One pulls something from his jacket which glitters in the dim sunlight. The man smirked at the helpless young man and laughed to his friends, "Let's get him."
The group advanced toward to Ken and begin to pummel him with kicks, punches, and the occasional stabbing. Ken falls to the ground, dropping the ring. "Stop it. Please." Ken pleaded for his life as he tried to block the foray of beatings.
"Let's see another gay come around here. We will show them," the man laughed and walked away with his friends. Ken laid on the ground, motionless, bleeding, and dying. The rose laid in his hand, several petals broken and fallen to the bloody sidewalk.
Click! How could those people killed the only person Daisuke ever truely loved? He looked at the screne of his computer, Ken's old computer, their computer. Ace of hearts. Daisuke almost laughed out loud. Ken was dead and no one else was there. It was time for this not-so-happily ever after ending to get worse.
Daisuke looked around and saw a pair scissors. Blue. Ken's favorite color. He picked them up and held them up. "I love you, Ken. See you soon." He kissed the scissor's handle and thrusted the blade into his throat.
Good? Bad? Terrible? Should I continue it with the thoughts of the other Chosen Children? Review! I don't care if you flame because I love fire! This is my first Kensuke.
