I OWN NOTHING! THIS ALL BELONGS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATORS OF DOCTOR WHO! THE TITLE FROM THIS STORY IS BASED OFF A LINE FROM I NEED YOUR LOVE BY ELLIE GOULDING AND CALVIN HARRIS.

I have never written a Doctor Who FanFic before so don't flame me too badly. This is what I think would have happened if The Master never activated his own pocket watch to restore his Time Lord heritage. In my opinion though I think that feelings of closeness and destiny would bring him to the Doctor and the Tardis eventually. Enjoy!

I Need Your Time

Joe continued to pace around his room. He could feel anxiety coursing through his veins as if he had injected it. For a second he had an image of tightening a tourniquet around his arm and holding a syringe labeled ANXIETY DO NOT TAKE IF ALLERGIC in bold red lettering. He stopped and sat at his desk. If Joe had a pet peeve tapping would be his, but he could feel himself absent mindedly hitting his desk with the tip of his nail. As if the drums in his head just wouldn't shut off. Bum bum bum bum! Bum bum bum bum! Bum bum bum bum!

He closed his eyes and found the hum of the tardis easily from his basement downstairs. No one could quite hear it like he could. He could feel it too, as if it ran an inch above his skin, never touching but sizzling enough to make his hairs stand on end. He almost didn't want the Doctor to come. He wanted to stay with the tardis forever. But once Joe opened his eyes and saw the Doctor outside his window, smiling widely in a long trench coat and Converse, he knew he would do anything for the man who saved the world a million times over.

"Steel," the Doctor called his last name loudly and beckoned him outside.

Joe obeyed, readying himself to give up the tardis even though it was the only place that really made him feel at home. Below in the basement the tardis glowed a bright white, a distressed and silent whine, at the thought that she was losing yet another companion and another Time Lord.
