Forever and For Always
by: dot-sye
He stared into those eyes. They were green mixed with blue and specks of silver hidden deep inside. They were so beautiful but Roxas hated those two extra colours. He hated the blue and the silver. He wanted to stare into a pair of vibrant green eyes instead of this haunting duo before him.
His knees trembled and a shiver ran down his spine and back up it to die at the base of his skull where the other's hand was currently holding. It was the only thing holding him up. His knees had locked up but he felt his strength leaving him slowly.
Why had he chosen this haunting mix of colours over the vibrant, secure pair he trusted? Why had he chosen a complete stranger that was so alike to a best friend?
A best friend that had told him he loved him. Forever and for always. Till he died.
Until who died?
Roxas regretted pushing his friend away as he felt another shiver run down his spine and his knees finally collapsed. The hand at the back of his head gripped tighter and his body was pulled closer against the redhead and the haunting colours he held. The redhead's other hand was at his waist supporting his full body and Roxas felt himself relax even though he didn't want to.
His eyes were begging to close and finally relax but another shiver running up and down his spine kept him grounded. He saw the mix of colours above two red slashes and he wanted to reach out and touch them as he had last night.
Last night he had moaned in pleasure when the haunting mix of colours had assaulted his very being. Now he couldn't even lift his arm in protest or voice out his displeasure.
He blinked and could have sworn the swipes were replaced by black triangles under pure green eyes. When he blinked again though the mix was there. They were staring at him. There was nothing behind them.
The green had always held such love and devotion. But this haunting mix was nothing but that… it was an illusion of colours used to distract the viewer from the fact that there was nothing more.
Forever and for always.
"Why?"
Till he died. Until who died? Axel had sworn that he would love him. He had smiled warmly and held him close when he asked the question. "Because I can make you feel the same thing you make me feel. We can be alive… we can feel!"
When he had asked that question last night. He had gotten the reply. "Why not?"
When the word barely escaped his throat now, a sensual voice whispered in his ear.
"Because he's mine… and you'll never feel a thing for him… I will."
And now he was dying. The poison was slowly running through his veins and the following shiver running down his spine was unfelt on the way up. The next one never came.
He would die the same way the haunting mix had accused him that he lived.
He would die without ever feeling a thing.
But those colours before him made his heart wrench… or was that the poison?
Forever and for always?
Till he died.
Until who died?
His eyes closed and a final, shuddering breath left his lips while he imagined acidic green eyes with black triangles under them smiling at him. They held all the feelings he would never have.
And then he died.
Roxas never would have loved him anyway.
And there was no more forever and for always.
Because he died.
Axel didn't love him anymore.
