He shuffled against the torn up couch that spilled out chunks of wispy cotton and let out a snarl of a sneeze. Coughing, Hort scratched his head and leaned against a half beaten-pillow, closing his eyes. He was staying with Dot now that he had graduated from the School of Evil, she had sweet talked her father into it.

Hortw had come down with a cold, and he was not too happy about it. While Anadil had stopped by and snickered that "Villains aren't vulnerable" he had wanted to turn into a man wolf and bite her head off. The son of Captain Hook blew snot into another tissue, and tried desperately to toss it into the garbage can. He failed miserably, and grumbled underneath the blanket.

Dot stepped in. The adorable, chubby teen girl splayed her hand against the door frame, pushing up her sliding glasses with the other. "Hort?" she whispered. "I'm sorry you're sick." She turned the corner of a chest of drawers into chocolate, breaking off a piece and popping the heavenly treat into her mouth. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Hort eyeing her brown stained fingers hungrily.

"Hey!" She drew her hand away. "I know you're staying here, but I won't have you eating my fingers!"

"It's not your-haack- fingers I want. It's –smmmmf- chocolate." Dot nodded with understanding. Sometimes, even villains got sick, unlike Anadil claimed. She remembered when Hester suffered so terribly after her demon tattoo being weakened. Dot licked up the melted remnants of chocolate off her fingers.

"I'll get some chocolate for you." She waddled into the kitchen, bringing out a bar of chocolate in cerise wrapper. Carefully, she rubbed it between her hands as Hort watched her questioningly. "So it's not a block of brown ice," she mumbled.

Dot pinched a tiny corner of the wrapper between her nails and ripped it away, but only partially. She broke off two squares of chocolate and handed one to Hort.

"You'll feel better after this. Chocolate makes everything better." Tentatively, he bit off a corner. The distinctive, sweet taste exploded in his mouth and melted slowly as he rolled it around his tongue. Swallowing, the sweetness made its way down his throat and left only a slightly fruity taste at the corners of his mouth.

Jory ate another bit. And another. Soon, the square of chocolate was gone as he traced his tongue around his lips, wanting to find one last trace of the sugary treat along his lips. "It's good." He nodded slowly as Dot started to bite into her own square and then stopped. A red blush slowly crawled its way onto her cheeks as she knelt next to Hort and moved her face closer, attempting to swallow the chocolate.

She tilted her head and brushed her lips to Hort's, pressing closer bit by bit. At last Hort got to taste yet another bit of chocolate again. He closed his eyes, enjoying the combined sweetness of both the kiss and the chocolate. His hand gently trailing its way across Dot's cheek, he slipped off her glasses and dropped them next to her on the couch.

Dot was right. Chocolate did make everything better. And it made everything even better if there was a kiss along with it.
