I gripped the body in my hands, tears running down my face. I was covered in her teal colored blood, watching helplessly as it dripped down into a large pool beneath her. I dropped to my knees, shaking and sniffing.

We were supposed to beat this game. I couldn't do it alone. Not without her. I swept away a few stray strand of black, silky hair from her face, and she began closing her eyes. No! I needed to keep her awake.

"Damnit, Terezi! FUCK! Wh-Why the hell would you have to do that?!" I wiped my tears away, trying not to let the horrible scene of gore cloud my vision. But, how could I not, it had just happened a few minutes ago. This game was only meant to be for fun... We were only six sweeps old for fuck's sake!

"Terezi, don't you fucking close your eyes." She didn't respond to my rambling, but she only blinked in return. "I'd say look at me, but..."

I clenched my fist.

"Fuck... Terezi, just please stay awake." I pleaded.

"We'll get through this, I know ow we will! We always get through this. You'll be okay, it really doesn't look that bad. It... Doesn't. You've had to have been through worse, you used to play those sick games with Vriska."

I tensed at the name. A good part of this was her fault, but I wasn't focused on that right now. I needed to keep Terezi alive.

"You got really hurt that one time, but... You were okay! You recovered!" I tried to remember the days back on Alternia, even being the lowblood mutant reject was better than this. Fuck, anything was better than this!

"And you'll fucking recover this time too!" I sighed. "...Please recover."

I never was good at showing my feelings, but I didn't care if I sounded weird, or awkward. I didn't want to keep it to myself anymore. It wouldn't just be another death on the meteor, it... It was different. Terezi was different.

"I.. I can't lose you! I don't care if you believe in me, or if those other assholes believe in me! You were the one who made me believe in me!"

I heard my voice cracks, and there was a lump in my throat. It felt kind of odd, spilling out my heart like this, but... I couldn't stop myself. Not now.

"Does... That Make any sense?" I asked half-heartedly. There was no answer, so I continued to talk.

"S-So I need you alive, we'll finish this game together! We'll destroy Jack, a-and we'll win this game! And we'll make a new world! Just for you and me. Just the two of us. We'll lay under the stars, and I'll tell you the constellations I see, and paint pictures, and play your silly court games all night long. We'll always be together."

I could feel the vision come alive in my head, and smiled a bit. It would be... Wonderful.

"W-We could even try out that matesprit thing! You and me! I'd like to... Would you?"

I looked down, hoping to see her smile, maybe cackle, anything to show that what I was saying got to her..

"...Terezi? Terezi?!"

I was in shock for a minute. My hands shook uncontrollably.

"NO! Stay awake Damnit!" I shook her gently.

"Terezi! Please wake up! I can't! Not-Not without you! Terezi, I-" I sniffled, the tears cascading down my cheeks.

"I love you!"

There it was. Out in the open.

"Please don't leave me! Wake up!"

She was... Dead...
