It was the middle of the night when he began lashing out. Whatever he was trying to attack must have hurt him pretty badly, as she could practically feel the crackle of magic around them as he thrashed around in his sleep. She cautiously wriggled out of their bed, trying to keep quiet as she watched over him.

"No! Please! Help!" He cried out, kicking the sheets off of himself. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"

She couldn't stand to watch him anymore. Gently, she shook him, and gulped as he pressed his wand to her face in blind panic. "It's just me," she said softly. "Just me."

His hair framed his face, plastered to his forehead with sweat. "I-I'm sorry," he stuttered, before taking in a deep breath to steady his voice. "I didn't mean to wake you."

She sat on the edge of the bed, and he joined her a few moments after. "You didn't wake me," she stated. "I wasn't asleep to begin with. I couldn't sleep..."

Slowly, she rested her head on his shoulder, an arm wrapping around his waist, and a flow of horrendous odours hit her nostrils. "Are you okay?" her boyfriend asked her, concern lingering in his tired voice, as she wrinkled her nose.

"What was it this time?" she questioned, ignoring his question in favour of asking her own. "Voldemort? Death-Eaters? Nagini?"

"It was- it was the faces," he said slowly, his voice cracking. "The ones we lost. I never meant for them to die! They deserved to be happy... They deserved to live."

She decided not to notice the drop of water that landed on her. "They wanted to protect you, Harry. It was their decision. They all did it for you."

"I know that," Harry mumbled, "but they deserved better. I wasn't worth it. I should have died, instead of them."

"They wouldn't like to hear you say that," she replied gently. "You've just got to let it all go, Harry. Please. Just let go off all the pain, and the hurt."

She lifted her head, looking away from his eyes. "How can I do that?" he asked, and she blinked back tears, reminding herself to be strong. She had to do this, for him.

"Lock it away. Forget about it. That's what I did with Fred's death. That's what I did with the possession. All those people that I helped petrify... Hermione, Justin, even Mrs. Norris. None of them deserved it, but I helped. "

Brown eyes met green. "You're right," Harry mumbled, looking down. "Let go. Lock away. Forget. I'm sorry."

She reached out to touch his cheek. "Remember that you are the reason so many more people are alive. So many people have you to thank for their lives."

She collapsed into his chest, and he wrapped his arms around her. "I know, Gin. Thank you. I love you. So, so much."

"I love you too," she muttered into his muscled chest, her tears staining the black top. "More than you could ever imagine."

Yay my first assignment! I cried whilst writing it, although that might be because I'm very emotional...
