When I was a little girl my mother would tell me stories of princess in big castles. They would have princes in shining armor riding on big white horses, that would come swooping down to save their princesses from evil witches and big scary dragons. Later, they would fall madly in love, living happily ever after. My mother also told me love comes in different shapes and told me it doesn't matter age nor size nor what the person looks like. The only thing that matters is their actions and how they treat you. The moment you know you're in love , your heart will skip a beat, and butterflies will float around in your stomach.
In my eyes my mother was the wisest woman in the world. I was always told that I was a princess, and that if I wished hard enough, that one day my prince will come whisking me away someday. I always saw my saw my life as a fairytale. I had the evil witches that picked on me everyday, for being different, the annoying older brother who was named after the dragon ,the best friends- one named to protect like a knight in shining armor, and the other a princess like me who shared the same thoughts and ideals in life- the loss of a loving family. Most of all though, falling madly in love with my prince charming. But the only problem was he was six years my senior. I Usagi Taukushi had anything far from a normal everyday life fairytale.
