Hi everybody! I'm Roxas, the ashy colored grey wolf. I was born in Fossil Forest from Amethyst Mountain, it was a paradise to my old pack. They taught me how to hunt and how to fight for our life! I thought I could lived here forever. But unfortunately, I was being dispersal. I have to leave my pack like every wolves which is two years old does, leaving their pack, search for a mate and start a new pack. I used to enjoy this kind of life for the first few moons, but now... I'm all alone in the middle of the forest with no direction.
I've ran to different places or packs, challenging their alpha or some dispersal like me and I got won. But I felt nothing, they're not my family I can't just take over the pack, I can't join them. Few dispersal she wolves try to be my mate, But I just ignored them. Hunting elks on my own, traveling on my own, just to find a mate, but none of them got my attention. Some were beautiful but too pussy, I thought I'll never found a mate on Earth anymore... not until I met her.
'Namine' that's her name. She's from the South- East pack, which is kind of a powerful pack. I've challenged their alpha for several times. She was so glamorous with those sparkling grey eyer, light blue coat with coffee fur on its feet and four white paw... she took my heart. I started to follow her wherever she goes there I am. One time she almost ran away from me, but finally I took her heart either.
We keep traveling, but this time... not around Amethyst Mountain anymore, it's Slough Creek! 'We'll start a pack here.' the first sentence I said after we arrived. We found a den on Aspen Heights, and after a few moons, Namine gave birth! Four pups!! They are Silver, Grey, Dust and Shadow, three ashy grey pups and one black pup. I was full of joy, but training them and keep feeding them is a troublesome work. But who cares? That's the way of how to be a father.
One day, Namine went to hunt some food for the pups and I went to mark territories so I ordered the pups to stay at the den not until I'm back. When I was done with all my marking and running on my way back I saw a grizzly bear and chased it off, suddenly I got a bad feeling so I rushed back. 'What's happening? I've survived for more then 70 times from the strangers or killed them! I should be fearless! But why now I'm... scared?' I kept asking myself the same question but it was too late... my son... Silver is dead, I never felt that kind of pained. I told everything to Namine after she came back from the hunt, we were all in a sad emotion. In the evening, I looked at the full moon 'Why Silver...? Why? Why wouldn't you listen to me? If I never left the den...' I started blaming myself. "Roxas?" Namine asked in a worried voice. "How's the pups?" "They're all asleep. Are you alright?" "No. Not at all... it's all my fault, If I stay at the den, Silver won't got killed!!! It's all my fault!" I started to cry. "Oh honey... It's not your fault. This is our destiny, we can't change it." She nuzzled my neck which makes me felt more better. "Yeah, Dad. Mama was right!" A familiar voice came from behind, it was Grey. "I've just saw Silver in my dream. He asked me to say thanks to you, Dad. He also said it was great to be your son and I'm proud of it too!" "See? Silver isn't gone yet. He's spirit is still with us" Tears of joy ran down to my cheeks, maybe I'm not the worst father on the world. "Yeah! You're all right! But we better go to sleep now, tomorrow it's a new day!" After they went into the cave, I looked at the night sky once more...this time there's a sparkling silver star shinning nearby the moon. I smirked and get inside the cave and slept with my 'pack'.
