MPOV

I looked down from the night sky. The city lights of Phoenix were stunning. I peered at a small motel about 100 feet below us. "Down there, guys." I called, angling towards it.

"Iggy, angle 45 degrees, and spiral down about 100 feet." I instructed, looking at him. I saw a slight nod, and we were soaring through the night sky, doing death deifying stunts. I laughed as the wind blew my hair back. This was fun.

I looked over at Fang. I had kissed him once. Not like I'd ever planned on doing it again. Maybe.

We landed behind the building, making no noise as our feet touched down. I shook out my feathers before tucking them in so they were hidden under my wind breaker. I watched as Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, and Angel did the same.

And with that, we were striding towards the front entrance.

? POV

I lay under the thin blankets. This motel was cheap, and thankfully, I had picked the room seldom used. I extended my wings, stretching them. It felt so good to do it.

I heard someone walking down the hall. The door clicked open. I yanked in my wings, pressing them so they were hidden under the sheets. Feet padded softly across the floor. I slowed my breathing, so I was silent.

"Hey, Max…what's that?" said a male voice. "I don't know. I'll check." Was the response. And the covers were lifted off my body. "It's a girl….like us."

"Fang, do you get the feeling-" "Someone's here? Yeah, I do too." Two people said to each other. But I heard 7 sets of footsteps, and one had the telltale click of claws. A dog in here? That seemed interesting.

I made myself a lump in the sheets. "Hey, there's something on the bed." Someone called. I tensed, and slowly pulled the covers back, keeping my wings hidden. "Yes? Can I ask what you are doing here?" I said in a bored tone.

They looked at me, and then one jumped over and pulled the blanket back from my wings. I gasped, but didn't make a move to hide them again. I simply sat there, mouth agape.

Their mouths dropped, too. They exchanged glances, and slowly pulled off their wind breakers. To reveal wings like my own. I simply shut my mouth and sat in awe.

So there you have it. My first chapter. If you have any questions, please ask me! I'd be happy to answer, unless it's something like where I live or my phone number. Then you gets blocked. Anyways, please rate and review. In the next chapter, the mystery girl will be revealed.
